Katia Managan follower mod for Oblivion

Prequisite: If you don't know who Katia Managan is, you can show yourself out. :P Just kidding, check this page: http://www.prequeladventure.com/2011/03/prequel-begin/

I'm thinking of changing one of the Apprentice Mages you can hire at the Arcane University into a Khajiit who uses Flare spell and carries an axe instead of a dagger like all Mages do. I can give her a Necklace of Silence but I guess that'd be pretty pointless if you want her as an efficient follower, so I'll just give her an enchanted ring instead. Trouble is, I never modded Oblivion before(I made mods for F3 and FNV) and I never changed the race of an NPC. The first problem is solvable since I probably will find my way around the Creation Kit easily and I changed the appearance of characters before, but what I want to know is will a character's voice change if I change its race or will I have to change that aswell?

The voice changing is a given, if you're going from a human/elf/orc to a Khajitt, given each race has a pre-set voice to it (though you can change that to another through the Characters/Race selection in the CS--just that doing so affects the ENTIRE race). It likely won't say all of its dialogue (spoken) with the changed voice though, as I'm pretty sure some phrases are recorded in only one or two voices (ie., only Imperials or Nords voice a given phrase.) Though if you give her a Necklace of Silence, I'd say that would pretty much solve the issue (owing to Oblivion's making wearables a Constant Effect on Self type thing.)

Might also be worth mentioning from experience, two times I've gone and changed races on an NPC (ones I created for mods), going from Dark Seducer to Dark Elf and Breton to Nord, and both times the dialogue I'd assigned to them stopped working; had to go into the CS and re-confirm it to get it to work again. Not sure of a way around it except to do that.

All in all, you might just be better off creating a new NPC entirely, if just for being able to customize them right out from the start to suit your tastes. :)

Katia was actually one of my choices for a final boss in my trials of the nine quest before getting dropped. :P

When you make a quest topic - then the dialogue, there should be a file-path name there. If you can extract a voice like High-Elf saying what. Copy that voice file to the file-path, the Elf's voice will play. I've done this with a Khajiit bandit to have him respond to a different response. The voice that plays is whatever at the end of the file-path.

I know this a lot (very) off-topic, but i was wondering if someone could help me. Everytime i try activate the mod and enter to Quill-weave's house, the game crashes. I know the mod is not working because i moved to the exterior of Anvil, and the game crashed in the exterior. Does
