Skyrim keeps crashing

So I downloaded all of my mods, selected them in the Data Files, and I thought I was like ready to go. Then when I clicked the game, it loaded the Bethesda screen and then it crashed. It does this every time. Any suggestions?

Hmm....that might be a possibility....so...I only have to check 50 mods for updates that require Dawnguard :D

Edit: But actually that should not be the issue..mods are loaded when loading a savegame..not in the main menu.

Edit 2: The Soundsettings thingy should also not be the cause because my settings are at 16 bit...might help the op, though:

You can get crashes at the main menu if you are lacking a needed .esm. (like Dawnguard) I second Ashwind's theory. If you have not done so, I would recommend downloading and running BOSS, then reading through the textfile for errors/warnings and addressing those. That is much less time consuming than checking fifty mods yourself, although I would also recommend in the future reading the description of any update before adding it. More and more mods are depending on Dawnguard, and your game will then crash if you don't have it.

Ahhh....good idea to use BOSS...I could swear I was checking for Dawnguard requirements...but I seem to have misclicked or thought I was going to buy it soon when I installed a version of a mod that requires it...

So..I redownloaded the non Dawnguard version and everything is fine again :D

Thanks for the help
