DBS101
I'm trying to cure diseases by visiting shrines, but using them will only confer the blessing, and not remove rockjoint, witless pox (from BS: Bruma) etc. I'm not using iNeed or anything that knowingly alters the way diseases work- is one of my mods causing this, or is it a bug? Here's my list: https://modwat.ch/u/DBS101/pluginsThanks. DBS101
If you have vampirism or are a werewolf you won't be able to cure diseasesII'm aware of this, but I am neither of those. Just a plain old Dark Elf merchant getting involved in too many affairs for her own good.
kryten397
Load your mods into the tool SSEDIT. Expand Skyrim ESM and scroll down to SPELL and expand it. Sort the entries by name and scroll down to the "Blessing of entries" talos ,mara, dibella etc Select each one in turn and check in the right hand pane that you dont have anything installed which removes the cure disease effect. Shrine blessing cure disease is working fine in my game.

Am I right in thinking that means they should be enabled? Thanks.
DBS101
I finally found the answer, it's because of CACO: Changes to Altars. Altars no longer Cure Disease. This was done to help balance the usefulness of the Cure Disease potions. This effect is still quite common, and Potions of Cure Disease are readily available at apothecary merchants. The intention was not to make diseases more difficult to cure, but rather to emphasize the role of alchemy in everyday life in Skyrim. Thanks for your suggestions anyway, guys
