Favorite: Dark Brotherhood, the quests are well done, amusing and unrepetitive.

 

Least Favorite: Fighter's Guild, it's tremendously repetitive and true to it's name, it's all fighting, no (good) story whatsoever.

reason: I hate playing as assassins.

Reason: I like assassins , the quests and Lucien Lachance, as well as the rewards they give me after each quest, so I hate Arquen.

 

Least favourite: Fighters guild

Reason: I don't like warriors, 'cause they are sloooow and noisy...

my favorite has to be the dark brother hood because it has a very good and unexpecting ending and my least is the fighters guild because it is short and it seems stupid and no real fighting at all

I voted for the DB because the story was the best written. It actually made sense and had moments where you were like, "Damn, that sucks." Rather, when you see the (spoiler) die in the Mages guild, you didn't feel sorry for the guy. He just had no personality.

 

 

The worst for me was fighters guild, because it seems as if some anti-drug activists managed to sneak a message in the ending. Also, the prospect of me killing things for no greater purpose never fits in to any of my character concepts. Mages guild was a close second, as I don't believe my character deserved the end reward. Arch Mage? Wdf?

 

Actually, the whole guild system in Oblivion is flawed. You should be barred from doing quests for the Mage's guild if you are in the Fighters guild. Seriously, I highly doubt sophisticated intellectuals are going to let some insane barbarian join. Also, the fact that you didn't actually NEED to fight with magic in the Mage guild pissed me off too. I mean, I had a Redguard with 5 in all his magic skills hack and slash his way through the quest line and become Arch "Mage". There should be SOME sort of requirement.

 

I could rant for hours with the flaws in the Oblivion guild system, but these are the most pressing issues in my mind.

Fighter's Guild

Thieve's Guild

 

DBHood is the best because the characters actually have a personality.

 

Did you know that the 'Whodunit' quest (my fave in the ENTIRE game) is actually glitched? You can kill one guest in front of another (without using a staff or area affect spell) and you still won't get caught?

My fave is definately the thieves guild(however I misclicked and voted fighters :|). It's fun being able to sneak everywhere and have to rely on stealth, the last mission is insanely fun too, and I like the happily everafter ending :whistling:

 

I hate the Dark Brotherhood quests. It sucks when you accidently get your bounty up and you cant go to towns without getting pummeled by guards. Plus it raises your infamy and thats an even bigger pain in the arse because no one will talk to you.

The general idea is not to get caught. If you're bad enough to raise your infamy, then you deserve everything you get.

I don't get caught as a thief, so I am good at not getting caught in general, but a lot of the DB quests nearly force you into getting caught.

BEST : Dark Brotherhood

 

WORST : Mages Guild

 

I love sneaking and killing foe in one blow~ Especially with bows, it feels like shooting with handgun or something. Nevertheless, it's really fun using bows~
