Hi everyone!

 

I wonder if you can help me.

I've been struggling with these crashes for a little while now.

And with no luck in fixing the problem and finding it where it stems from.

I looked round at conflicts and such and if any arose I either patched them problem with a compatibility patch, Or removed one of the offenders.

Now I use NMM to download my mods, BOSS to order them and then Wrye bash to bash patch and launch.

I'll include here my BOSS Load order, Boss Unrecognised Mods.

I would include a Crash report but not sure where to locate it.

Running SKSE with the following Plugins.

SKSE Version: 0.1.5.11

CFM_extensions.dll

SKSE_Elys_Uncapper.dll Version: 1.14.2.1

 

 

also 5 of these mods were activated through steam workshops.

These are quest mods and are as follows:

Any help you guys could give me to resolve this problem would be massively appreciated.

If it's crashing at random places/times and you can't duplicate it by going through the same spot, it's probably not actually a mod conflict, more likely something overloading your system or something such as stray scripts eating your RAM (unverified, I think I heard Moonpath was guilty of that, research it yourself because I don't want to badmouth good mod if it's not ^^; ). However, two things in your load order stood out:

 

*You seem to have both Travelers.esp's active when they have a note to use only one. That would be a conflict.

*Phenderix's magic plugins both have a note that they have been reported by some to cause frequent crashes. Have you tried deactivating them?

4. you have a _lot_ of mods. x_x You didn't say how good your system is, but I know mine would shrivel up and die if I tried to load your list.

 

Also, aren't you using like three completely different lighting mods? Does that work...? o_O (Ignore that comment if Claralux + Minty's lighting + realistic lighting all work fine and have a purpose, but it seems strange to me.)

I'm rather confused there to be honest.

It's listing the esp's when they are deactivated.

 

I only use the one blood mod. Enhanced blood textures.

 

Both travellers being on is news to me, thought I got only one of them on :S

 

I recently switched to the XFLmain for followers and changed to convenienthorses to switch out the many horse function mods and make it only one. (horse inventory,horse armour, horses for followers etc...)

 

Minty is a lightning mod, they must have misspelt the esp XD

But i'll look into Claralux and Realistic. from what i know Realistic is part of the ESB Sup3rd esb which i favour.

Is there a better one out there to replace it with?

System RAM: 8gb 1600mhz Dominator Corsair

CPU Name: Intel® Core i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz

Video Card Description: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti

 

 

I think I've decided to un-install all the mods and start again from scratch.

I'm also adding and changing a few more :O

 

Going to start with the most needed.

SkyUI,Better sorting, Immersive Hud. that sort of thing.

 

Then add the texture pack changes, SkyrimHD2K etc

 

Then any additional stuff. weapons & Armor and crafting stuff.

 

Hopefully doing in stages will allow me to find the problems.

Ahh, yeah, it does list everything in your Data folder. I thought everything in your list was active. Disregard me then.

Nope, it says Lightning, I just misread it ^^; ("Lighting", "lightning", same thing, right? :P ) I can't help with ENBs, my poor game ran in slo-mo when I tried to activate one even at lowest settings. Now I just look on with envy. I honestly don't know if having two lighting mods active at once would actually cause problems, or even if Claralux and Realistic actually clash, it just seemed odd.

That should do it. Apparently that's a good practice anyway (well, one at a time is actually best practice, but in stages is much better than willy-nilly.) Of course, I never really do the research-and-playtesting procedure, which is why I had to do the same thing myself a couple weeks ago... I hope you isolate your problem and it turns out to be not too serious.

Yeah i think i got a little bit to willy nilly and started throwing far to much stuff on,

May have had some overwrite conflicts along the way or something.

 

 

From what i understand.

CLARALUX (why the caps i dont know) Is a lighting configuration.

It improves the Light output of all torches and adds torches and lights to forts,roads town and such.

It is compatible with all enbs.

 

Just going to take it one step at a time.

I'll keep this updated as i go.

 

 

Ok plan of attack activate batch of mods.

Playtest 30-60 mins.

 

If everything ok. Carry on with next batch.

Repeat til problem arises.

 

Look deeper into activate mod batch,

Scour crash and script reports.

deal with problem.

 

rinse repeat.

Enlightening thread.

Can someone please advise me what script reports or logs can I look at to help determine what my possible crashes may be due to? I too have recently rebuilt Skyrim for the 6th time to gently add mods and playtest. It's very cumbersome, but wholly necessary it seems and having reports or logs would be extremely helpful.

 

Also, does anyone know if it still makes sense to somehow combine mods/esp/esm and what tool may be used? The example I have is with the CK I have modded some NPCs and changed some attributes and that's created a esp each time that I'd like to combine if that help eliminate CTDs/freezes.

Reasonably sure that Both BOSS and Wrye Bash can make some crash reports as long as select the function to do so in the settings.

 

not entirely sure where they put them too,

I found some in mydocs/skyrim/logs/scripts found some paparus logs there.

 

But wether or not they are the proper crash reports not sure? :S

Oh you mean like a bashed patch?

I still use the same thing i have since Oblivion.

Wrye Bash.

Excellent program compatible with SKSE,BOSS and deals with installation,load order and launching if you want it too.

 

Right beginning my playtest with first batch:

tested second batch no problems, Apart from some mods messing with the skins of the improved meshes.

Will reinstall body mods and hopefully will fix the problem, Needless to say the results were quite horrifying :S

Other than that all the mods are working and looking good. Skyrim is slowing becoming easier on the eye again.

Will continue this tomorrow with more batches and testing

 

Perhaps some screens if anyone is interested..
