ramilow
I didn't know Fallout 3 would surprise me.After reaching some locations, the game crashes when I try to save. I currently have this problem near the Tennpeny Tower and underground Warrington Station. The worst thing is that it's difficult to capture the moment when saving works and when it doesn't. This is the "invisible line". I checked local files and cleaned with Fo3Edit. I thought some NPC mods were a problem, so I changed the .esp files to .esm in Fo3Edit. I removed some mods and it seemed to work correctly. But then the problem comes back and I don't know why. There is always some "invisible line", or a problem occurs after starting the game (when the saving location works, but after restarting the game don't). Any suggestions?List: Fallout3.esm=1ThePitt.esm=1Anchorage.esm=1BrokenSteel.esm=1PointLookout.esm=1Zeta.esm=1Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esm=1StreetLights.esm=1Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow.esm=1Point Lookout Reborn.esm=1Project Beauty.esm=1EVE.esm=1RH_IRONSIGHTS.esm=1Wasteland Violence.esm=1Vault 101 Revisited.esm=1Xepha's Dynamic Weather.esm=1Alton, IL.esm=1tubrrCompound.esm=1WastelandGuards01.esm=1CrossRepairWeapons.esp=1Wasteland Travel Caravans.esp=13dnpc_ClaraBella.esm=13DNPC_Cosmos.esm=13DNPC_DotsDiner.esm=13DNPC_Factory.esm=13DNPC_FO3.esm=13DNPC_FO3Generic.esm=13DNPC_IRS.esm=13DNPC_LittleBoBeep.esm=13DNPC_Mortar.esm=13DNPC_QuantumGravity.esm=13DNPC_Room404.esm=13DNPC_Slasher.esm=13DNPC_Spider.esm=13DNPC_Village.esm=13DNPC_Zynx.esm=13DNPC_Chapel.esm=1DCInteriors_ComboEdition.esm=1CaravanUpgrades.esp=1PopulatedMegaton.esp=1Project Beauty- Vault 101 Revisited.esp=1CrowdedCities_v2.esp=1Zan_AutoPurge_SmartAgro.esp=1PCIdles.esp=1RH_IronSights_Basic_AnchoragePlugin.esp=1RH_IronSights_RemoveReticule.esp=1CrossRepairArmor.esp=1FollowersRelax.esp=1Enhanced Weather - Radioactive Rain and Snow Plugin.esp=1Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow in Fallout.esp=1Enhanced Weather - Sneak Bonus during Storms.esp=1Enhanced Weather - Weather Sounds in Interiors.esp=1Fellout-Full.esp=1Fellout-Anchorage.esp=1Fellout-BrokenSteel.esp=1Fellout-pipboylight.esp=1Fellout-Zeta.esp=1Sprint Mod.esp=1Overhead3PCamera.esp=1ThePittUnchained.esp=1dD - Enhanced Blood Main.esp=1AltonAddon.esp=1FortIndependenceRedesigned.esp=1WWM.esp=1Player Animations - Food & Drink.esp=1tubRRCompound.esp=1Project Beauty- Broken Steel.esp=1Canterbury Commons New Interiors.esp=1FO3 NPCs Travel.esp=1pittmerchant.esp=1Xepha's Dynamic Weather - Main.esp=1FO3 Better Followers.esp=1ThePittReforged.esp=1WeaponModKits.esp=1v1_OutcastFIstrongerDefence).esp=1Armor Your Vault Suits.esp=1FO3 Better Followers - Unlimited.esp=1RCM2.esp=1RadioTenpenny.esp=1RH_IronSights_Basic_ZetaPlugin.esp=1UWWUT.esp=1UWWUT - WMK Addon.esp=1UWWUT_WT.esp=1RH_IronSights_Basic_VanillaPlugin.esp=1RH_IronSights_Basic_PointLookoutPlugin.esp=1UWWUT_WT - TP Addon.esp=1RH_IronSights_Basic_PittPlugin.esp=1RH_IronSights_Basic_BrokenSteelPlugin.esp=1UWWUT - The Pitt Addon.esp=1RH_IronSights_Pitt_NewRifleSights.esp=1companion.esp=1Paradise Falls - ReStocked Bar.esp=1RH_EVE_Bridge.esp=1Fellout-PointLookout.esp=1RH_IronSights_PL_NewItems.esp=1Project Beauty- Point Lookout.esp=1WWM-EVE-patch.esp=1Player Animations - Stimpak (5s, restore crippled).esp=1Lookout Outfits.esp=1F3Eyelashes.esp=1Better RC Church.esp=1Distributed Necklaces and Chains - Males and Females.esp=1Caravan Merchants Heal After Combat.esp=1MegatonMaid.esp=1Stop Insulting Me Outcasts.esp=1Raiders have Pitt Armor.esp=1GNR Enhanced.esp=1Boulevard of Broken Dreams.esp=1CRBSOR.esp=1UWWUT_WT - BS Addon.esp=1UWWUT - Broken Steel Addon.esp=1TiesThatBind.esp=13DNPC_FO3_BrokenSteel.esp=13DNPC_Radio.esp=1DIM TYPE3clothesRETAIL.esp=1GNRBuilding_Redux.esp=1LeatherBackpack - eng.esp=1Better BOS - Public Release.esp=1Better BOS - Broken Steel.esp=
M48A5
ThePitt and Anchorage should be reversed, they are loading out of order. StreetLights should be between ThePitt and BrokenSteel. You do not need the DLC plugins for Fellout since you have Fellout-Full. And, it should be lower in your load order. Any DLC plugins should load in the same order as the base game, not scattered throughout your load order. With a load order that large, you should have either a merged or bashed patch. ramilow
Any DLC plugins should load in the same order as the base game, not scattered throughout your load order. In the sense all plugs as one? I don't really understand how it should look right?
M48A5
For example, you have plugins for RH Ironsights for each of the DLCs. These plugins should be arranged in the same order as the DLCs, not scattered about in your load order. That is just on mod. You have others with the same problem. ramilow
I tried to change the order of loading. Better? ramilow
I tried reinstall all mods (I checked the files, I cleaned with fo3Edit) an I found problem with Megaton - crash after saving near the location, like wth Tenpenny Tower. I don't know what to do about it. I had this problem on my old laptop a few years ago, but I don't remember how I solved it.

ramilow
Yes, unless according to the instructions it should be in the main folder of the game. I had a problem most often with mods for npc. The solution was to change the files from .esp to .esm in FO3Edit. But now I don't know which mod can cause the problem, because what I had to change was changed. Edited September 16, 2019 by ramilow
Purr4me
Yes, unless according to the instructions it should be in the main folder of the game. I had a problem most often with mods for npc. The solution was to change the files from .esp to .esm in FO3Edit. But now I don't know which mod can cause the problem, because what I had to change was changed.OK, I have a solution for you, several actually. From the beginning modding took off, the data directory was the Original target..As such, data, plugin assets would overwrite others IF they contained the same Data names. Then came along mod managers, of all sorts across the gaming domains. <-- so we are on the same page here.the current methods used by newbies is to just install things and allow what ever mod manager to control what gets installed...Doing that causes the problems.Going to another PC BRK.EDIT: OK, so I do not see any mentions of what manager / installer your using currently but that is Irreverent at this point.A correct load order is also the install order whether or not the mods are already installed. An example if the things I am discussing with you deals with the assets so I'll choose a favorite "type 3" Or rather assets used for that body type ( https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/6073 ) <--- this requires the base files for the body type 3 mod, IF the requirements are installed first, then subsequent mods that contain body types other than type 3 or even vanilla assets will now overwrite the intended files.you end up with junk and wonder why it takes place? The rules are the last file wins. that even means the last mod installed wins.load order has no way to repair out of order installs so again, your going to end up with a messy game. In order to assist you here, I am going to link in here the exact version of an old but tried and true mod-manager installer.DO not take it upon your self to use higher versions that do not work, this is an example in order to teach you the basics.https://www.nexusmods.com/Core/Libs/Common/Widgets/DownloadPopUp?id=1000018736&game_id=130&source=FileExpander install that, do not use newer versions..GOT IT?in the tools menu there is a boss sorter. this version carries it's own web based but not web based template that will not update from the depository on the networks. run the Boss mod sorter. when it's done, you load order will have some sort of better arrangement. Once you have this, you now have a map to go by as far as installing the correct order of mods and there assets.in order for the example to over-ride default vanilla assets and give you that type 3 body, type 3 needs to be the very last MOD installed. It wins. The same analogy applies to all mods that have assets your after. so this means yes, you going to uninstall all your mods, and clean out the game data directory. you do that by using steam to remove the game and reinstall it. this takes just a few minutes time, steam will rip-out all game materials in seconds.reinstall the game, run the game directly from steam, establish a known functional game and windows registry entries. With the load order last used and created BY Fomms sort-order tool, you use the order from that file as the order to install the mods in.This is just 1 single method for basic Game/Data targeting. The old way.your not going to use fomm to install the mods, your going to use the instructions I just gave you with the current mod manager your using. still might help a little if we knew what manager your currently using? this is fail safe even with vortex. Yeah, I am watching a lot of people making this same mistake and not thinking.believe me when I tell you i have seen first hand horror stories and witnessed massive game data messes.so the following will be your basics. use Fomm to sort your current status of mods used. Copy the Plugin.txt file fomm creates in the C:\users\users name\apps\local\fallout3\plugin.txt to the desktop. run steam to remove the game and reinstall it run the game FIRST from steam !!! read the plugin.txt file and install the mods according to that listed order. test the game with the current manager. DO NOT ALLOW the current manager or LOOT to sort this arrangement. I repeat DO NOT use LOOT at this time. just inspect the status of the game assets and mods. Test run the game.when you do all of that which takes about an hour to set up, report back with your results. ramilow
I'm using Nexus Mod Manager and I'm not smiling reinstalling everything. I know this is a trivial question, but is there a simpler way? E.g. Do any of the mods cause that f.e. in Megaton and Tenpenny Tower making a save will crash I think, it's invisible, after which each attempt to save the game causes a crash.I used to have this problem and I solved it. But stupid to admit, I forgot how. Unless the above is the only way, so I'll try ...
