Is there any way to view new mods without being bounced back to the be

I was thinking maybe the Nexus does that for guest not premium accounts? I don't know but thanks for the ideas about opening a new tab, that may work I'm going to try it. It never used to happen to me until nexus changed it, so I have to say I do not like their new changes at all. I really wish I could have the old nexus back. In fact I was finally about to become a premium member until they changed it, I still might it is still a good sight, much better for mods than steam in my opinion.

It really seems like an issue with your browser or browser settings (like having cookies disabled, using the private browser settings, etc) rather than something with this site.

I would not be surprised if it's browser-related. It does work for me just fine in IceWeasel.

But using Opera 12.02, cookies on, permissions on -- but not logged in to Nexus -- what I described happens only from the Latest Files button under the pictures on the Hot Files page. This brings up the checkerboard of mod pictures with short description underneath. From there I get Next - Previous page options (no page numbers). Looking at any given file, on any page, then using the browser's back button, returns me always to the Hot Files page. Same goes for Latest Images button in this place.

This happens only from the button under the Hot Files pictures. It works perfectly from the Files > Latest files drop-down list from the button at the top of the page, and also from the More recent files link in the Latest files section on the right side.

I just thought perhaps this was what was happening for the OP. It's not all that much of a problem for me, since I am already in the habit of opening things in another tab or -- on Nexus -- simply logging in.

No I checked it's nothing to do with my browser, it happened right after nexus came out with that update where they changed a lot of things. It's just much harder for people to brows new files for instance my old mods which suck, have more endorsements and DL's than my newer good ones in the same amount of time, do to the new system. I mean my mods not getting as much attention now which really sucks! lol

@ Bess, I was not questioning anything you wrote, sorry if it seemed that way. Your solution seems to be a good one to circumvent the problem/

@ OP: Since most people don't have this problem, there must be something about your setup that is interacting differently with the site. That is not to say that whatever it is doesn't have something to do with the update, but it may be changes the updated site made in combination with whatever is going on in your browser. Have you tried downloading a different browser (like Opera or Firefox, whatever) just to see if the problem recurs? I understand that you are frustrated, and in my experience, it often helps to try things that seem unlikely just to rule them out--or discover the solution.

It's fine I know what you meant, lol. Yea I'm using Firefox now. I'ts me not explaining it right I think let me try this one,lol........The nexus sight has changed itself, like before when I logged in all the latest files were right there on front page, now It's the mod reviews vids. So I changed it back in "Preferences" but it still bounces me back to the beginning of the latest mods file page after I click on a mod to view it. Well it's no biggy I guess, I just wanted some feedback, thanks for all your help. God bless and Good modding

@ Georgiegril: No worries, it didn't seem that way to me at all. I was actually attempting a little more clarity after reading Robins's post, since I think I was the only one who mentioned the bit about not being logged in when this happens and the very specific way it happens for me.

@ KnightRangersGuild: Are you saying that this happens for you even though you are logged in on the file site? That seems odd. Since it's working for me as long as I'm logged in, I have nothing more I can offer, sorry. I hope you find a satisfactory solution -- good luck!

Hmm, I'm confused. Run me through it step by step.

- I'm on Skyrim Nexus, logged out.

- I go to Latest mods

- I go to page 4

- I click on a mod. Any mod.

- I go back in my browser, I'm still on page 4 of Latest Mods

What am I missing?

I'm logged in as non premium, prefs set to latest files as start page. using IE 9.

start page http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/ latest files

Click Next page http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/

Click next page http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/

Select mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25112/

click browser back button http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/ back to start of latest files

Not getting the url, config issue on my part?

Yep that's exactly whats happening, and yes I am logged in every time. I'm just trying to ignore it now because I haven't found a fix or why it's doing it. It just sucks because I can't look at new mods as much as I used to, I'm was just wondering if it happened to anyone else besides me, and apparently it does.
