What is going on with this texture and how can I fix it?

So I attempted to make a retexure for wolves and I ecountered a strangle problem I can't figure out.

Here you go:

The only files i have in my Wolf texture folders are wolf, wolfblack, wolfred and wolf_n (unchanged formt he original).

I can't figure out what do I need to change.

It appears that you've possibly cut out some areas of one or more texture files that are actually used. It can be difficult to tell sometimes without the UV map as the background color can sometimes be similar to the used portions.

 

I don't have the game installed. Thus I cannot check files. However, you should open the wolf mesh in NifSkope and see what textures are assigned to the node covering that particular area. While there export the UV map and compare it to your edited textures. The UV map will be an image with a black outline on a white background. Looking at that will let you know if you may have missed a particular area.

 

Another possibility would be saving one or more of the DDS files in the wrong format for SSE. I do know that SSE has more specific requirements than the original Skyrim had.
