Dianadoesitbest
I am thinking the Next DLC is going to be a larger more expansive DLC than Hearthfire. Hopefully in another province or even revisiting old ones. After all the lore is 200 years into a fourth Era. And a lot has happened to Tamriel both politically and Physically. Provinces that border our beloved home of the Nords, include hammerfell, Orsimum, Morrowind, and Cyrodil. Hammerfell I think would be nice to see, for one we have not seen it in a very long time. It is ripe for more confrontation with the Altmeri Dominion. We are even exposed to a bit of its culture in quests in Vanilla Skyrim, making as strong case for a little bit of an expansion. After the Oblivion Crisis, Hammerfell remained a part of the Empire during the Stormcrown Interregnum, which ended when Titus Mede seized the Imperial City and was proclaimed Emperor. During the Great War against the Thalmor-led Aldmeri Dominion, Hammerfell fought with the rest of the Empire, and was invaded by the Thalmor forces. When the war ended, Emperor Titus Mede II ceded a portion of southern Hammerfell to the Dominion and outlawed worship of Talos throughout the Empire. The Redguards, outraged, continued to defy the White-Gold Concordat, forcing Titus Mede II to release Hammerfell as its own, independent state. The Redguards eventually forced a stalemate with the Dominion, leading to Aldmeri forces withdrawing completely from Hammerfell. Morrowind would be another great province to return to. So much has happened with Morrowind. After the Oblivion Crisis, the Nords and Orcs launched attacks from the north.[2] Then, the disappearance of Vivec caused the Ministry of Truth to become unstable. Engineers in Morrowind, led by Vuhon, constructed a machine called the Ingenium, powered by living souls, to keep the ministry aloft. When one Dunmer named Ilzheven was chosen to power the machine, her lover Ezhmaar, also known as Sul destroyed the machine to save her life. The plan backfired, however, as the Ministry completed its fall, destroying Vivec City and causing Red Mountain to erupt, covering the rest of Vvardenfell in ash and lava in an event known as "The Red Year". An invasion by the Argonians of Black Marsh forced the remaining Dunmer to scatter all over Tamriel, most notably Solstheim, however many of the Dunmer are returning to their homeland to rebuild.[2] It feels like a great setting for a comprehensive expansion. even if it only covers part of the Province. Orsinium would be cool, The kingdom reformed, but has relocated; it is now in between Skyrim and Hammerfell.[1] There are Strongholds scattered everywhere, And the Kingdom itself is small enough that it would make for a cheap DLC. huntsman2310
I'd honestly like to see something that takes place on the border with Hammerfell and Orsinium. Also something that works in more of the stuff we saw in gamejam, like spears, moving platforms, more dragon types, things like that.
CasperTheLich
i know i'd like a shot at the altmeri dominion myself. maybe start with repelling a dominion invasion in skyrim, followed by infiltrating valenwood to uproot the thalmor, something that gives a similar feeling to how morrowind was, the dovahkiin going undercover to unseat the dominion in valenwood. then ending with an invasion of the summerset isles. think i might be dreaming a bit there though. seems like a stretch for a single DLC pack. however, i can hope... I hope.

Unholypaladin
Don' t rule out the planes of oblivion! Remember that Bethesda opted for the shivering isles in oblivion, it's quite possible they may go for something simular in skyrim. I would say Dawnguard is skyrim's Knights of the Nine. I have noticed though that since morrowind the games try to limit themselves within the same province. So with that in mind here are some possible options: Realm of Hircine: I think it's entirely possible for bethesda to offer some contrast to Dawnguard, and perhaps go in the completely opposite direction with DLC that centers around Wereolves rather than Vampires. Plus there are plenty of plot points in Skyrim that would easily lead into events of Hircine, (But out of the no spoilers rule I will not specify which plot points!) Shivering Isles 2: It's unlikely but entirely possible to see a return of the shivering isles, afterall, the shivering Isles were awesome in Oblivion Summerset Isles: This is a very likely candidate considering all the build up for the Thalmor in Skyrim that never really went anywhere. It could have been alluding to the future DLC in which the Thalmor become the primary enemy. It would most likely be a small part of the summerset isles, however they may also just be saving it for another game... (Elderscrolls VI: Summerset Isles?) Akavar: This is EXTREMELY unlikely, but there have been rumours that bethesda plan to release and Akaviri expansion for skyrim. All these rumours arre unfounded. These are just some of the possibilities I am aware of, however I would just like it to be noted that provinces such as hammerfall tend to be seperate games rather than addons due to their massive size. AnkhAscendant
Whatever the next DLC for Skyrim involves, I can almost guarantee it won't be set in another province. Not completely guarantee, because hey, I'd like to be proven wrong, but yeah. Almost. The Hircine-centric idea above seems most reasonable of anything I've seen suggested. I'd definitely like some planes of Oblivion myself. (I'm a Daedra fanperson :P ) It seems most likely to me, though, or maybe it's just wishful thinking, that there will be a Falmer-based DLC. There have been hints such as "there are rumors that they're getting ready to try to take back the world above". (Plus, if we want to dredge up the old conspiracy theories, the bug jars are all but the Bee in pretty Falmer-heavy areas. :D That's my pet theory, anyway.) Honestly, I don't want a Falmer storyline if you have no option but to fight and kill them because they're generic inhuman enemies... I want to be able to help them and restore them to their former glory. Or, if not glory, at least to the status of a recognized intelligent being :/ (Did you know they're classified as 'creatures', not 'npcs', in the Creation Kit? Ooh, that makes me mad...) So yes. Falmer. Restore the Falmer, not destroy them. Edited October 5, 2012 by AnkhAscendant
Tarm
Ever since I started running into Orcs seemingly everywhere and that Orsinium is close to Skyrim I've thought that the next expansion would add their kingdom with a quest chain. I have been proven wrong two times now but I still think it's a good candidate due to that they only have to open up a relatively small portion of the map and I want to go back helping them like in Daggerfall. :) My second guess have been a war with the Aldmeri Dominion. After the civil war quest line it's hinted that they will be the target in the next war and I'd REALLY like to kick their butt big time. :P
JanusForbeare
Whatever the next DLC for Skyrim involves, I can almost guarantee it won't be set in another province. Not completely guarantee, because hey, I'd like to be proven wrong, but yeah. Almost. I have to agree with this. Historically, expansions/DLCs for TES games have taken us to new regions, but not entire provinces. Tribunal and Bloodmoon took us to Mournhold and Solstheim, respectively, while SI obviously took us to Sheogorath's realm. I seriously doubt that Beth is ready to take on a whole new province. I like the idea of visiting Orsinium, but given its distance from Skyrim, I don't think that it's likely. A return to Solstheim is possible, but I doubt that anyone at Beth wants to recreate a region they've already worked on. A storyline involving the Forsworn in the Eastern reaches of High Rock seems like more of a possibility, as does the previously mentioned Falmer plotline. That said, Beth also has a habit of making DLC content that stands alone from the storyline of the main game, so really, anything is possible. Personally, I'd like a DLC that takes place in a large, bustling city, like Tribunal did. After wandering a frozen wasteland for so long, it would be nice to have a change of scenery. kingdark
This would probably a LOT of work i think but I would love to see the imperial province in skyrim graphics. Actually, i would like to see all older TES editions in new graphics. Though i figure that is as likely as pigs flying.
fortie
I just don't want something that you do the quest get a few new weapons and armor and that's it. That's what I like about say the hearthfire expansion it adds to the immersion of the game. Spears yes would be great to see how about go one step further though and yes tere are mods for this. Gun powder. Muskets flint locks how about boats that you can use with cannons and you can raid trade ships that arrive from other provinces. How about more to do with shaogorath or however you spell it that has to be one of my favorite quests.
