Voodo1314
I want to create a new armour based on the fur armour but without the top, so how would I go about removing the top and what software would I need. Also, how would I add certain pieces of one armour to this new fur armour? Many thanks for the replies. :D Edited October 6, 2012 by Voodo1314
jack013
there's a topless fur armour ingame already.
Voodo1314
there's a topless fur armour ingame already. I know, but I would like the trousers instead of bare legs and I also intend to add some parts from other armours.
ghosu
That's not so easy...in fact most armor parts work as body replacer so when you equip it will replace the body parts that are covered with armor. When you delete just the top you might have to add an upper body to the armor file as well, if you want to add new parts you even have to weighten the armor once again so it stays in position when you move. Tools you need: 3D Editor with nif plugin: 3dsMax, Blender, Maya and NifSkope to edit the armor file itself. http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Skyrim._Part_1 ... to get an idea 'bout the process. huntsman2310
I'm confused. Couldn't he just delete the part of the mesh he wants and keep the pants?

ghosu
When he edits something like this: http://666kb.com/i/c7w4zuf852e6uzt9k.jpg This one uses a slot to replace the body ingame, that's why there are body parts in it like arms and legs. When you delete parts of the armor there is nothing below it, just empty space - so you have to import new body parts, otherewise this area will be invisible ingame. Adding it would be easier. greetings Edited October 7, 2012 by ghosu
