What mods would you try to make

I don't know if the CS is coming or not, but if it does what would you like to try?

 

What I'd like to try...

 

1. Runaway: a playable children mod

 

Basically you leave the Vault right after you get the pipboy, it wouldn't mean you would be invincible though.

 

2. Killer children: Cause daddy don't lock up the gunz no more.

 

Making the Raiders at the school into kids. (a child killer mod would be highly recommended :P )

 

3. Orphan: a child companion

 

 

I think these would be some neat mods imho.

@w0t, The reason I didn't mention a mod to make the kids mortal is I figured there would a bunch of those. Adding more VATS locational damage might involve messing with the actual model meshes though I could be wrong.

 

@sterlingx2011, IMHO I can understand more having him be "essential" than a generic kid. I'd Dl it.

 

@migius, Yeah baby needs his boomstick :D

I suppose I'd go for more player houses, it's a bit scarce now and I don't really like 'em :-/

- A remote Raider-camp like house

- An abondonned village house (like the first village you see, forgot the name...)

- An abandoned Vault-castle, with guards outside of course :-)

My first plan is to create a bunch of new crazy schematics that make playing a tinkering type of class more interesting. Ideally, I'll add a new NPC and some quests to obtain them.

 

I'd also like to add realistic weight to items.

1. Ammo Crafting & Repair Overhaul: this will be the first mod i work on. even if a lot of others will most likely be working on this, it will be a good introduction to the changes in their CS. Also, i think i have a fairly good spin on the idea.

 

Rather than just adding ammo schematics, id like to add the option to break things down into generic parts:

 

For Repairs: Armor can be broken into generic Armor Parts, guns broken down into generic Gun Parts. Then, in the repair window, these parts can be used to repair anything of that type, armor parts to repair any armor, gun parts to repair any gun.

 

For Crafting: similar to the repair system, any conventional ammo can be broken down into, say, Bullet Casings and Gun Powder, any tech weapons can be broken down into Electronic Components and Battery Parts (or something). these can then be used to craft similar ammo types.

 

i think this will be a good solution to the bullet/repair situation, while still maintaining that "scavenger" feeling and incentive to hunt.

 

 

 

2. Leveling System Overhaul: I'd like to uncap the level 20 limit, the 100 skill limit, and the 10 stat limit, reduce the amount of skillpoints per level by ~75%, perks every 3-4 levels, and then either reduce the amount of xp rewarded or increase the xp required per level.

I would make around 3 to 4 mods

 

a mod that would let your perks go past 100 skill

 

a mod that would make your char go over lvl 20 (leave it around lvl 25 - 35)

 

a mod which would let u use pieces of equipment (greaves, chest, shoulders, etc)

 

and chunkster repair/crafting idea sounds awesome

 

 

any other mod would be minor and can come later but the ones mentioned above are

the top priority.

 

a vault-like home would be cool also...
