Foot submerged in the ground

Hello.

I'm having an issue with the follower Leiyane (Mod) and the clothing mod "Luxurious Seduction" that I downloaded from here: http://mitakusaner.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-828.html

Most of the clothes work fine, but the heels makes Leiyane's foot to appear partially submerged in the ground. If I remove them, her foot will look normal again.

I tried to adjust Leiyane's height to 1.0 (Her default is 0.96) but it doesn't works.

Also, the mod includes a fancy short jacket, but when I give it to Leiyane, the game crashes to desktop.

My active mods:

Leiyane Follower (Medium textures, CBBE) I lost her ears.

Amazing Follower Tweaks

Skimpy elven armor (Not me, nor any of my followers has it equipped)

Luxurious Seduction (Leiyane is the only one using objects from this mod)

EZ2C

My game version: 1.9.32.0

DLCs: Dawnguard

Dragonborn

Hearthfires

Also, I have a low end PC, I don't think it matters but I guess I should mention it.

Intel PentiumD E2180 2.0GHz (As the mainboard is defective, it reads 1.0GHz)

2,5GB RAM DDR2 (Slot 1 512M, Slot 2 2GB)

GPU XFX GeForce 9400GT 512M

Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1

It would help to see your load order, but if these are the only active mods you have, I can venture some guesses:

1. It requires bodyslide in some way for the outfit, and you didn't run it through bodyslide.

2. One of the mods has an unlisted requirement, very likely HDT High heels. Open the console, click on the follower and type "unequipall". Or whatever the command is to make her naked. Or dress her in vanilla clothes. If she's still going through the ground, the issue is something else. But if being naked or in vanilla clothes puts her to normal, it probably means the armor requires HDT heels. Which could also be related to the jacket, because a master file is missing.

3. Are you using the unofficial patches or the skyrim unofficial legendary patch? These are pretty much essential and fix a lot of bugs in the base game. It also helps to clean them is Tes5Edit. I don't see them listed with your active mods.

4. Not sure if your mods need it, but do you have SKSE (Skyrim Script Extender)?

EDIT:

5. I also noticed you have the CBBE version of the follower but didn't mention having the base CBBE mod installed. That could also be related. This is why a load order would help. If the above mods are TRULY the only mods you have running, than everything I've mentioned could be a potential cause (or all of them at once).

-Nope, I don´t have bodyslide. I downloaded it a few weeks ago but never installed it. I've only opened the file a couple times :D

-When she's barefoot or in vanilla outfits there is no problem, it only happens with these heels.

-I'm not using the legendary patch nor Tes5Edit.

-SKSE is not installed

-And CBBE is not installed, as Leiyane doesn´t need it because she has her own meshes (According to the author). I'm afraid of what could happen if I install CBBE, there could be a lag cataclysm that could make the game unplayable.

I downloaded that mod, but never installed it.

Okay. To address these one at a time.

1. The feet going through the ground is because you don't have HDT heels installed. I'm 90%-99% certain of that. It might be related to the jacket crash too, because the entire mod is missing a masters file then. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36213 .

2. To install the high heels mod, you'll "might" need to install SKSE (I don't remember). SKSE is an easy install, but you don't install it like a mod. Follow the instructions. https://skse.silverlock.org/ . Even if you don't need it, I highly recommend it. It opens up a whole lot of fun mods.

3. It's a good idea to have the unofficial legendary edition patch. It solves a LOT of problems that were in the base game. I consider it necessary for skyrim modding.

4. TesEdit isn't necessary per say, but very useful. If mods ever conflict you can use TesEdit to see which mods and exactly how they conflict. It can also clean up the DLC files and patches which have a lot of "dirty edits". I can recommend a good tutorial. But a bit of cleaning with TesEdit can improve game stability. TesEdit can also be used to alter mods. For example, you could add an enchantment to the outfit by default or remove one.

5. Installing CBBE body shouldn't cause any kind of lag or trouble or make the game unplayable. It's just a custom body mesh. Probably one of the most popular and compatible bodymods of all time. I use it frequently. In general most people have a body mod installed and then they can use any armors designed for it. That said, you don't have to install it for this character. They are stand alone like you said.

6. Bodyslide can be...complicated. But it could be related to the jacket issue. Long story short, certain armor mods don't set the shape of the armor by default. It has to run through bodyslide first. Without the shape being set it usually just appears invisible. But sometimes it can CTD. But I'd try the other things first and then use bodyslide as a last attempt in this case. I don't think it's the problem.

Finally: Load order is a super important thing. The order mods load into the game matters a LOT. And I mean a real lot. Often the first thing I check whenever something goes wrong is the load order. Use this tool called LOOT (https://loot.github.io/) to sort your load order. It's not perfect, but it helps in a big way. Until you start doing more complex modding, this should solve any load order problems you have. Once you get into more complex stuff, you may need to occasionally make some manual changes (Example I had to make sure the mod Sacrosanct always loads after the mod Live Another Life. Otherwise all was good.)

If you have any questions I can try to point you to the tutorials I used. I often prefer youtube tutorials for the visuals. But admittedly sometimes they aren't the best. But I'll help where I can.

Sorry for the late reply, we had a communication breakdown.
I got the high heels mod; it requires SKSE, I got it too.
It did not work, her foot still going through the ground. Even placing it on the 2nd place in load order.
I installed CBBE (Curvy, low textures, feminine brows darker), it did not work, still had the foot submerged into the ground. And it did not solve the jacket problem, still crashed to desktop.
Then installed BodySlide (CBBE, RaceMenu CBBE) I did not installed the "pre-built cbbe + morphs" because it wanted to overwrite previously installed files (femalebody 0&1 and femalefeet 0&1) And placed it as second place in load order. It didn't fix the heels and still crash to desktop.
I downloaded SSEEdit 4.0.2. I expanded luxurious seduction tree until I got to the jacket, I checked all objects involving the jacket, here's the result:
[00:00] Start: Checking for Errors
[00:00] Checking for Errors in AA_Jacket_1 "Luxurious Seduction Jacket" [ARMO:09000D7C]
[00:00] Done: Checking for Errors, Processed Records: 1, Errors found: 0, Elapsed Time: 00:00
[00:00] Start: Checking for Errors
[00:00] Checking for Errors in AA_JacketAA [ARMA:09000D6B]
[00:00] Done: Checking for Errors, Processed Records: 1, Errors found: 0, Elapsed Time: 00:00
[00:00] Start: Checking for Errors
[00:00] Checking for Errors in RecipeArmor_10 [COBJ:09000D88]
[00:00] Done: Checking for Errors, Processed Records: 1, Errors found: 0, Elapsed Time: 00:00
[00:00] Start: Checking for Errors
[00:00] Checking for Errors in Temperluxuriousseduction_10 [COBJ:09000D95]
[00:00] Done: Checking for Errors, Processed Records: 1, Errors found: 0, Elapsed Time: 00:00

The only thing left to try is that unofficial patch you mentioned.

If you have the time (And some other PC with Skyrim :D) can you download the mod and test it yourself? If it crashes your game then it's a corrupted/badly converted file issue.

I think there may be some miscommunication here. Just a moment.

When using Tesedit make sure ALL mods are checked. Once all your mods load into TesEdit right click the armor mod and select "Apply filter for conflict losers" and wait. This will reveal which, if any mods you have, are conflicting. NOTE: Not every conflict is bad, but you want to look specifically to see if anything is conflicting with the jacket. But more on that later. For now most of your attention should be to my below sections marked EDIT and in particular EDIT2. Read these first, as you may be wasting your time otherwise. Also, In regards to SKSE, do you now start your game by launching it USING the SKSE icon? You have to do that. You don't click on the Skyrim launcher anymore. SKSE is how you boot the game now. The icon should look the same.

I might test the armor myself to see what the deal is. It's also possible the armor is just faulty in another way. I've had some armors that required such specific installs that they weren't worth the effort.

EDIT: I think I see a possible problem. So your using the armor for the follower. So YOU THE PLAYER didn't need CBBE. What you did need, was to install the bodyslide conversion so the CBBE follower could equip it (Which would mean the player cannot equip it unless the player is also CBBE then). The link you provided for the armor also has a link to armor conversion someone did on LL. So bodyslide IS NECESSARY. You probably could have equipped the armor as the player just fine. But without the conversion, a CBBE character wouldn't look right no matter what other mods you had.

1. So, reinstall the armor mod PLUS the CBBE conversion provided here (https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/2335-diannes-bodyslide-conversions-cbbeuunp/). 2. Select the file that has the same title (Luxurious Seduction CBBE) and download and install. If it asks to overwrite say yes.

3. You will also need to download something called HDT physics extension and install it (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53996).

4. Then you need to build the body in bodyslide. This will become the default body when you create a new character, or for your NPCs. You can adjust sliders inside the game to alter your body further, but the default will be set by bodyslide. You can click preview as you work to see what your changes look like and use the preview slider to get an idea of things. So set body preportions how you see fit. Then click "Build" to build your body. I recommend using CBBE HDT in the "outfit/body" option, and CBBE curvey in the "preset" option (Not necessary but most CBBE outfits are created for this standard so it will save you effort in the future)

5. Click batch build and run it with whatever armors it will allow.

NOTE: After building a body in bodyslide, since you now have CBBE installed, your racemenu/character creation might include "CBBE sliders" ignore them. Use the default sliders in game if you wish to adjust your character.

The the short story here is, you had the armor, but it wasn't set to work with the bodytype of the follower. You needed hdt heels, HDT physics extension, and also SKSE. And I recommend the tool LOOT to sort your load order.

Keep me posted. I'll keep helping if I can. It seems to me the problem is the initial setup. BTW, are you using a mod manager or just directly installing mods?

Also let me see if I can find alternate links. Aside from SKSE all the links I've provided are for oldrim, not Skyrim SE. So let me find better versions.

EDIT2: Since you downloaded TesSEedit should I assume you're using SE? If so, that's a new can of worms so to speak. I'll add some links for SE versions of things where I can. But from what I can tell, that follower wasn't designed to work with Skyrim SE. From what I can translate (My Japanese is a bit rusty) that armor is also designed for an older version of skyrim. Not SE. Or at least the website doesn't indicate it is for SE. So it may be that neither the follower nor the armor are meant to work with your setup. Either way, the CBBE conversion which is necessary to get it to work for that follower is not availible for SE. So whether or not it will ever work is not something I'm certain of. Like I said, I don't really know SE all that well.

I'm not used to SE so I don't know what is or isn't available for it. I can't find HDT physics. Also the above CBBE conversion is only for Oldrim. Which strikes me as odd if the armor is for SE. Again, if you are playing the special edition, this may not work unless someone makes a proper conversion. I'm amazed the follower even works.

LOOT for SE (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1918)

HDT Heels for SE( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18045)

Requires the following to work:

Sky UI SE (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12604)

Racemenu SE(https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19080)

CBBE for SE (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/198)

Bodyslide for SE (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/201) Overwrite if asked.

In place of HDT Physics this might work for SE, not sure. And it is much more complex (http://www.mediafire.com/file/gyclohjeyk1shnp/smp-pe_path_0730_Modified.7z/file)

That... method gave me a headache after reading 4 lines :D

And also I can't access https://skyravblog.blogspot.nl/2015/03/luxurious-seduction-mashup-bodysuit.html because it says I haven't been invited.

Yes, I run Skyrim from skse_loader.exe. See screenshot:

I install mods manually, I don't use any mod manager.

And I have the normal Skyrim, the one you people call "Oldrim"

You said there was no need to have CBBE installed, so I removed it because it indeed added some lag to the game, very little, like 2-3 fps, but those 2-3 fps means business when you play on a low-end PC.

Then started the game to see if the savegame or the game were broken by this removal, none of both were broken. So I took Leiyane's heels and weared them to see if the game crashed... and it did not, wtf? Then tried the jacket and the game crashed to desktop.

So before starting the game again I decided to browse my little mod collection and noticed something VERY odd. I downloaded a file named "Luxurious Seduction UUNP HDT BodySlide 1.1.zip" (104MB) along with the mod. I opened it and all the files are for UUNP bodies, see screenshot

(Image quality reduced to match nexusmods upload limit)

Leiyane is based off Caliente's curvy body, I thought these files were not necessary so I started to hunt and delete the files shown in that ZIP from the \Data folder, then ran the game to see if the savegame or the game was broken; none of both were broken. So I gave the jacket to Leiyane and... crash to desktop.

Then I decided to forget about the d*mn jacket for a while and just play the game. I recently noticed that those heels can sometimes look correctly for a short period of time or they stay like that for as long as the character moves. The first time I noticed it was in the dawnguard fort, near the "oven" you use to convert minerals into ingots, Leiyane was standing on the pile of coal, I hadn't Fraps running so I couldn't take a screenshot. More recently it happened again, we were on top of one of these... dwarven giant balls that spins, when I walked onto it to get the elder scroll I noticed that Leiyane's heels were shown correctly, she walked a few steps and crouched, they kept showing correctly until we got off the ball or on the little bridge over the ball, her heels were again going through the ground. See screenshots:

I suspected the heels have some issue with the surfaces, maybe they only show correctly on non-flat surfaces?

Continuing my investigation I went to that crazy old man's working place (I forget names easily), he's the one who needs the cube to open some box. We stand on the ice and I noticed the heels look nice on ice, but they don't look nice on ice that is partially covered by snow. See screenshots:

I also noticed strange artifacts on Leiyane's body when she's wearing these 'armors', see screenshot:

Then closed the game and removed RaceMenu CBBE (RaceMenuMorphs.esp and \Scripts\RaceMenuMorphsCBBE.pex and \Scripts\Source\RaceMenuMorphsCBBE.psc) as it wasn't needed. Then started the game and it warned me about deleted content, I continued the game where I left (On ice), and Leiyane's heels are still going through the ground. (See the screenshots on ice)

So I fired-up Yandex to read again the pages you linked (this one) and noticed the guy says "All of the Cloths need their Original Mod (All the Links are included in this topic)"

And I can't access because it says I haven't been invited to read the blog.

If you have access to the blog... and if you could download the original mod and upload it to somewhere else... that'd be great.

EDIT: Browsing the internet I found a tool that could solve this problem, "LazyHeels", but this tool is for the special edition.

I don't have access to the blog. Sorry.

Also, CBBE should not cause lag. I don't know how that could be happening. I've been using CBBE a long time and it's never given me any lag. I would even venture to say this could be a sign of a much deeper issue in your setup.

At this point I'm really not sure what's going on. I downloaded the exact same outfit you provided the link to, it did not come with the UUNP bodyslide files. I have only the base files. plus the additional CBBE bodyslide files from another site. I haven't installed it myself to test it yet. But I cannot see why it wouldn't work at this point.

I'm not sure what's going on with the heels or the jacket now, and I don't think I know a way to help anymore. Once I test the armor it will either work, or not work. But something must have been missed along the way and its likely that is the problem.

If I had to venture a guess, your problem is related to bodytype. The mod is probably designed for a specific bodytype. If CBBE is giving you lag, I'm guessing you haven't installed any other body mods either. And without them, that might mean something is missing. And in the case of the follower, she IS CBBE. And therefore, the armor won't match her without the CBBE bodyslide files.

But if CBBE is giving you a noticeable lag I'm not sure what I can do. As I said, that suggests a deeper problem to me with the setup in general.
