Foot submerged in the ground

At last! it works!!!!

I'm unsure what was the thing that fixed the issue as I added several mods at the same time.

Here's a log of the last thins I did after my last post:

I installed CBBE (Again) [Curvy, low textures, feminine brows darker]

And for some reason there was no lag this time.

-Installed realistic ragdoll and force

-Installed XP32 Maximum Skeleton 1.96 (Folders "00 Skeleton rig", "11 Back 1H Swords" and "03 Back 1H Sword equip unequip animations")

-Installed RaceMenu (again)

-Installed SkyUI

Then started the game. Leiyane's heels were still going through the ground.

Minutes later, I was messing around with these fancy new menus (I'm new to skyrim heavy modding, by the way) and noticed this menu called "Mod configuration" I entered the menu and there are 2 items "SkyUI" and "HDT High Heels", I clicked high heels and got a messed up menu (Due to my 800x600 screen maybe?) where there was some settings for heels.

My daedric boots were selected, so I took Leiyane's heels and weared them and returned to the HDT High Heels configuration screen, then I chose one of the presets there (The first one, 8.0) and... voilá!

The heels look good on my character, so I returned the heels to Leiyane, and like 2 seconds later there was a message on the upper-left side of the screen saying something about adjustments. Leiyane's height was increased and now her heels look good.

Then I thought "Ok, I gotta post this. And I know a fast way to get to the desktop >" I took the jacket and gave it to Leiyane and... no crash!!

Again, I'm not sure what was broken or what was I missing, all I care now is that now it works. I have more screenshots, but the site won't let me upload them.

One last question: When I need to reinstall windows, can I copy the skyrim folder to somewhere else and when I finish installing Windows copy it back to the original location?

Or will I need to install skyrim and then install all mods 1 by 1?

This was probably it. I didn't even think to mention either of these because they're just a standard part of my setup now. I can absolutely see how not having these could cause your problems. Sorry I didn't think of it.

Funny enough I actually never learned how to use the MCM (mod configuration menu) for hdt heels even after messing with it extensively. But a lot of mods have these menus. SkyUI is needed for MCMs to work.

Glad to see the setup is finally working for you and you got the mods working. Happy modding.

EDIT:

Few questions more:

When I need to reinstall Windows, can I copy the skyrim folder to somewhere else and when I finish installing Windows copy it back to the original location? Or will I need to install skyrim and then install all mods 1 by 1?

Also, something brought 2 problems:

1-) Now I can't raise my shield while I'm running. And I DO have that ability.

2-) The clarividence spell... you know, that one that shows the path to your objective, the animation for it is not playing in second person mode, it plays only in first person mode.

The spell does cast, but the animation is not working, the characters just runs like if you were not casting it.

At first I thought it was the animations that I installed with XP32MS so I removed them, but then the game crashed to desktop when loading the savegame.

So I installed the files in the folder "10 Default Weapon Placement", the game is now fixed, but still have the animation problem.

I can't post screenshots.

When installing mods manually I find it's rarely a good idea to uninstall mods unless you really know what you're doing. Because there's a good chance they replaced files in the base game, and the game now depends on them.

1. I've never used the shield, so for all I know I can't do this either. I have no idea. But I can't imagine the XP32MS mod would effect it. That's not how that works.

2. In regards to clarvoyance I have a similar glitch, only with the rune spells (the ones that place traps). I've been unable to see the runes (1st or second person). I never use clairvoyance as I have all the paths in the game memorized. I can't say I'd know how to fix it, but it's not a big loss. The dungeons are actually surprisingly linear.

Now, about your animations that you installed. Do you have FNIS installed, and if so did you run it before starting the game? That's a big deal. Could be that your shield is "raised" technically, but without running FNIS the animation won't show. FNIS is the tool used to add all new animations into the game. (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11811). Very basic tool, but many newer modders don't realize they have to open it and click "run" or whatever it is that loads the animations into the game. So try that and see if it fixes the shield problem.

Technically speaking, yes. But it may not be the same when you play depending on how extensive your modding is. A basic setup should run mostly the same. But I would advise redoing it for the sake of learning the process better. I've installed skyrim about 8 total times (I experiment a lot and broke things lol). By the 5th installation my mods and tools were pretty extensive though. Over 150 mods, ENB, and I even started making a few mods of my own (nothing all that great but enough). But ENB's functionality depends on availible memory. So in order to make it work right, you need to know what your computers capabilities are and tweak the settings accordingly. So if it's just a reinstall of windows, not much trouble. But if you're using a new computer, simply copying may not be a good idea.

I do recommend keeping a backup. At least for some files. Especially if you do things manually. Since you run a greater risk of replacing necessary files, a backup can help revert your game to a functional level if uninstalling a mod breaks things.

Sometimes even a screenshot so you remember how certain things install, and which files go where. I always forget how to install ENB so I took to taking screen shots. Despite using a mod manager I always get the manual copies of mods I like, because you never know if they'll be their in the future. One of my favorite tattoo mods is gone, but I still have a copy.

I've been trying to put together a series of .txt documents to act as a beginners modding guide, that uses very plain language. I can't speak for the accuracy on a lot of things. In my experience, everyone has their own idea on what's right. Some people say uninstalling mods is always bad, some people say in a proper setup there's no risk at all to uninstalling mods.

But to your specific situation, I think you should be able to copy and paste your setup. And I think FNIS and LOOT will both help solve your shield problem. I don't know about clairvoyance, as I never used that spell. And my own spell situation I haven't been able to resolve (and I consider both minor enough that I've never tried.)
