No, there is a bit of work involved to make them work.

 

- Skyrim SE meshes are different, Skyrim LE meshes sometimes work but other times break. Meshes should be optimised using SSE Nif Optimiser.

 

- Skyrim LE BSAs will cause a ctd at logo screen, they should be unpacked and either use the loose files or repack into a Skyrim SE BSA.

 

- Skyrim LE textures will usually work, but some landscape textures end up looking shiny, something to do with alpha channels, no idea how this works.

 

- Skyrim LE esp files have to be loaded and re-saved in the Skyrim SE Creation Kit to update them to the SE format, otherwise they can cause instability and glitches down the line.

 

- Skyrim LE mods that have a SKSE plugin (.dll) are right out, they will not work at all. The .dll has to be remade for SKSE64.

 

However, many of the most popular mods have long since been ported. Many SKSE mods have been remade for SKSE64. Chances are that you'll find the mods you left behind reworked for SE.
