Installing DLC and Updates on Skyrim with a lot of Mods

Hi to all,

It's a few months that i don't play in Skyrim on which I had installed various mod. Now I'm going to install new Dlc and related patches/updates. My Skyrim currently is stable and runs great. However I am concerned about compatibility with mod and any problems that may arise from the upgrade.

So let me ask two questions:

1-Exists and what is a safe way to update one skyrim with various mod installed on?

1-is there a procedure with Nexus Mod Manager beta to make a Backup of the mod installed or the current "Skyrim stable" then eventually reinstall it.

Thank you for attention

Fabrizio

You can back up your game through the Steam backup function.

You can copy/paste your current mods into a folder somewhere steam wont find it (like a "mods Backup" folder on your desktop

You can likewise move your save games.

After having steam update your game, check to make sure all of your mods are likewise updated, since many require updates when new patches are issued. After that, you can try your savegame. If you have problems, however, you are probably going to want to just start a new fresh unmodded game and go from there.
