1. Someone mentioned before - Jukebox plays selectable playlist of songs (couldnt be extrememly difficult to have a menu popup on interaction, and most audio files are .mp3 anyways, so seems "easy"/possible.

Even beyond this, It would be pretty cool to see a playlist inside of your pipboy. I know again you could import w/e .mp3 you wanted to hear, and the game would randomly select it, but it would be nice, if you could have your own little PiPod. Could be interesting.

2. Like what OOO accomplished (along with the several other amazing mods for oblivion), we need a harder game, with many many more baddies, a much more dangerous journey.

3. I know if it becomes possible to alternate endings/continue game/alternate beginning (bored of the vault tutorial/storyline beginning sequence), It might be interesting to possibly create a game as your own Father. Challenging yeah, but why else are we here.

4. Im thoroughly disappointed with the lack of buildings/houses you can enter. I hate climbing up a pile of rubble only to find that there is an invisible wall stopping me from getting inside that skyscraper. I cant help but walk through any major "city" and feel like im being guided/limited on where i can go. 97% of all houses/buildings should have doors that I can interact with/85% should let me go inside (some lockpicking required perhaps).

5. (forgive me if this exists and i havent seen it, I havent completed the game yet.) Lets get some Diazepam in this game. Let it increase accuracy/reduce motion while scoped etc. Like the ole' MG...

6. UI obviously needs revamped.

More to come. Thanks!

Here's my wishlist:

Character

  • remove level cap, but also completely remove or reduce the +10% XP perk to only 1 rank
  • perk every 2 levels instead?, or possibly slow down levelling
  • Fallout-y skill system, goes up to 200, increasing cost of gaining each point the higher the current percentage, ie. like 4 skill points per percentage going from 150% to 200% (this may well be impossible if entire skill system is hardcoded :( )
  • lockpicking and science not limited to only increments of 25, you should be able to attempt to hack or lockpick even when your skill is too low, but with a correspondingly extremely low chance of success
  • trait "perks", possibly add a computer terminal in medical bay in Vault 101 that you have to interact with before door opens, requires you to enter any existing medical conditions (the traits), by selecting from a list, can choose as many as you like, if person selects same trait twice, it removes it
  • reduce skill bonuses from items significantly, possibly some of the stat bonuses too
  • add more perks

Combat

  • reduce damage disparity between all the weapons to prevent 1-shot kills at higher levels
  • maybe add more hp to all enemies
  • player should always be very vulnerable to attack, dies in 2-6 hits against a strong enemy like a deathclaw
  • reduce effectiveness of all non-power armors, best non-power armor should only have half the damage reduction of power armor, however, have all the power armor have -2 agility to balance though keep the strength bonus, maybe add a penalty to perception and/or charisma too
  • make power armor ludicrously expensive to repair at NPCs, and make it rare enough that most of the time you can't self-repair
  • reduce ammo available in the world (it'll also make the extra ammo perk more desirable)
  • make ammo more expensive from merchants
  • goal is similar difficulty throughout the game as Fallout 3 is currently in the low levels on Very Hard
  • eye and groin shots

Lightsaber's! Or if that's a bit too silly maybe a nano-sword like the dragontooth from Deus Ex

Nano technology doesn't exist in Fallout universe.

Edit: Even at the time of making of the first Fallout game, we didn't know nothing about Nano technology.

One things that really bugs me, and a few others from what i read is the time frame cycle. In Vanilla Fallout3, 1 in-game hour is just 2 minutes! That means we get only (about) 24 minutes of light and 24 minutes of dark!

Personally, I'd really like to see a Mod that makes the 24hr cycle last about 3hours(1.5hrs light and 1.5hrs dark), would be ideal.

Well, this at least I can help with. In game, open your console ( ~ ) and type

set timescale 1

I think the default is like 18 or something. 1 makes it real time. The higher the number the faster time flows.

I generally play somewhere around 7 or 8.

But it's perfectly adjustable, so no mod needed there.

One thing I would love to see for the most part is factions... There seems to be a lack of quests compaired to morrowind and oblivion and that really depressed me. Oh, don't get me wrong, I love wondering around and discovering new places while slaughtering everything in my path, but I would to have some actual objectives that seem rewarding as it did when I became the head of the mages guild in morrowind/oblivion.

I want only one mod and I can't see it being super hard. I'd just like to see Dogmeat be made into an unkillable NPC. If he goes out then he just goes unconscious, or you can take him to get healed or something.

Same here. :) That'd make my day. I hope there'll be some (unofficial) tools soon. It'd be the first thing I'd make.
