more weapon selection. better melee/unarmed support in vats. (srsly, you can only randomly swing at someone with melee/unarmed.....wtf i wanna make a called shot to someones kneecap!)

 

THE CROTCH AS A TARGETABLE AREA IN VATS! i cant believe the excluded this *frown*

 

lets put Frederick (and a fun romp through Fort Detrick) on the map

I'm not sure if this has been addressed already, I'm sure a lot of good suggestions, but the one I would like to suggest is a mod that gives more VISUALS to effects and feelings.

 

- When crippled (a la RESIDENT EVIL)

- LEGS: more limping effect, (I seem to be able to run just as fast when legs are crippled).

- ARMS: hang limply

- HEAD: more injured effect...I'd like to see more bruises (no I'm not a sadist)

 

 

ALSO:

Weapons and tactics:

- RIOT SHIELD you can use in conjunction with pistols.

- Crippled enemies (legs/arms mainly) who can still pose a threat (like in CoD4:modern warfare, where you shoot them in the

foot/leg and they fall on the ground, but can still shoot pistols at you or crawl away)

- I want more verbal abuse from enemies.

- Raider groups that do battle chat, communicating with each other (and even apply the above like: "Get that son of a b***").

 

 

Playing TES4:Oblivion, I know there are a lot of geniuses out there. I don't only want to get stat/texture changes but something that would give a reason to replay the game over and over again.

I want to get to grips with modding so I can contribute to what I want to see.

I think you might be confusing a crippling hit with a critical hit that blows the limb off. Even a crippled enemy can still attack you and pose a threat.

 

Other than that, I agree with your suggestions. I think given the level of violence in the game, non-lethal injuries are less pronounced than they should be.

I just got the game and for the most part was amazed, it really has some nice touches in it, a lot of which, I missed in Oblivion but didnt really pay attention to. However there are a few thing that while not incredibly pressing for most, I would love to see:

 

1. Better Character Creation Screen, i.e better lighting maybe larger screen with better view of the head.

The vanilla one looks good and all but to a large degree i cant really see what i am making.

 

2. Numbered Chargen Sliders. Not amazingly urgent but i do miss them.

 

3. More hair variation. Doubtless a whole host of hair mods will surface soon, but I thought I'd put it in anyway

 

4. Jump Animation Improvement. Its a LOT better than ESIV, but some how the end of it looks a bit like a day at the Olympics

 

5a. More Places To aim for in VATS (Dunno if this one is possible)

 

5b. Agonised Thrashing about when a limb is blown/chopped off

I seriously doubt if this one can be done as it is a mammoth and doubtless, massive undertaking, but I find it a little odd that a character with a blown off leg/arm just drops dead without any real reaction to their current condition, a bit of screaming and falling about with the chance to alert nearby enemies would be great :)

 

6. Small Arms Dual Wield.

Need I say more....

That's my little bit of input, I wont even bother with the body mods as they are no doubt already on their way :)

I love this game!

For me, it is a good conversion of the fallout-feeling in the world of the 3rd dimension.

 

But it's far from perfect. Especially the balancing.

 

1. Weapons and armor should weight much more. You should be able to carry only about 3 weps, 2 armors and only needed ammo.

 

2, Ammo need a weight from 0,1 (gun-ammo) to 1 (rockets).

 

3. The damage of all weps should be increased by 50-100%.

 

4. Because you now can carry less loot, the equipment should be more worthful.

 

5. Weps-damage should be rebalanced. Rare weps need to be deadlier. For example:

- 10mm-gun should be the weakest pistole (1st weapon and everyone have it)

- 32.-gun is between (more rarely than 10mm)

- chinese pistole is the best of the three, because it is very rare

 

6. More realistic weight of items (value of cigs is 1? should be 0,1-0,2 / bottles should be about 0,3 instead of 1)

 

And the best mod should rebalance the level-sys!

 

1. 3times slower leveling

2. 5+INT skill-points per lvl

3. level-cap is 40

4. only every second lvl new perk!

5. enemies have to be rebalanced for these changes!

GEARS OF WAR 2 CAMERA STYLE pleeeaasee! That game owns because you FEEL like your moving actually in the same instead of generic weightless motion (like in Oblivion, and Fallout 3).

 

Fallout 3 some what moved in the right direction by having your character to the left of the screen while in 3rd person - BUT THIS IS ONLY THE FIRST STEP INTO TRUE IMMERSION!!!

 

This game needs a MINOR camera "sway", shake, or bobble effect. It totlaly makes everything more emersive. I don't get it how people get motion sick from games like Gears, Mass EFfect, Resident Evil 4, etc.

 

Out with the old MMO style camera (WOW cough*) and in with the new GEARS camera style!!!!

I woulnd't be surprised by now if games 5 years from now all replicated the GEARS camera style, just like how games now replicated the heath regeneration created by the first HALO game.

 

By the way, I am not a console fanboy. I am not a MAC. I AM A PC!!!! lol, this game is awesome with by rig (al maxed settings).
