brownm13
Hello everyone, My problem is: - I can't seem to move any fingers on the skyrim skeleton without moving the entire hand with it. I want to be able to move each finger bone into the custom mesh I have made but I am struggling. Any help with this would be great, thanks in advance, Brownm13
LargeStyle
I'm definitely no expert in 3DS Max as I only have a couple of weeks experience with it. However, out of curiosity I've just loaded the skeleton.nif into 3DS Max 2010 and I can rotate fingers. I only found that you have to be very careful and specific in where you click so that you are actually editing the correct part. As you may know, you can alternative click on the "Select by Name" icon, ensure that "Bones" are included in the list, then select you bones / fingers from here. http://imageshack.us/a/img826/2558/capturedyy.jpg I obviously don't know which 3DS Max you use, and I don't know how important this is, but I have 2010 which apparently is the best for Skyrim work. Other than this, that's the limit of my knowledge.
Ragicka
Another possibility would be to convert some of the magic casting animations to .kf and importing one of them into 3ds. You'll get some finger movement but you'll be limited to the animation. I've never worked on gloves yet but if pressed, I think I would import a vanilla pair and copy/paste the skin data onto mine.
