enarkdc
Any mods I have used that have dialogue, such as companion mods and house mods, do not play the dialogue. It's just silence. I had that problem with a vanilla npc and I found a guide to use fallout mod manager and extract the voicesextra file to data which worked. I don't know where mod voices go, or I would try this. I did extract the entire voices file to data with no improvement. Please help me fix this problem.
BeefPie
Try verifying the game cache in steam. That problem generally means missing voice files. Also try updating audio drivers and the like.
AnkhAscendant
Before doing anything drastic. load the mod in the game, save the game, and then reload the save you just made. One of the later patches introduced a bug where mod-added dialogue doesn't work the first time it's loaded, so you have to go through that process. If that doesn't work, though, you might have a problem. Then you can try verifying your cache and seeing if there's a problem with your game. enarkdc
Problem is persisting. Can anyone tell me where voice files go when you install a mod with nexus? Or... maybe I could just download the manual version and find them in there?
