Vortex Purge Not Removing Meshes Folder?

Purge only removes what Vortex added/created

If there was a meshes folder before Vortex deployed files or if you manually or through a foreign tool added additional files to the meshes folder, Vortex will not clean it up because that would mean deleting files Vortex doesn't know anything about.

Also if you delete the "__folder_managed_by_vortex" file, Vortex no longer knows that it initially created the directory.

If there is the __folder_managed_by_vortex file and nothing else in meshes, Vortex will clean it up

Hi, thank for your reply. In fact, this is more information than a question. I Never added manualy and never installed mods out of vortex. That not the first time I see the mesh folder staying with 800mb of my mods in after a purge.

I think I have understanded why he do not remove folders like meshes.

These folders are full of .tri files. I think, they are generated when you check morph in bodyslide, or when you add key in mcm for the mcm folder,

Or when you modify values in f4se plugins, ect...

These files are not directly under the control of vortex then he do not remove them when you purge.

Vortex purge just the file that are already present in his know database.

It is not a pure purge finaly, this why we have to remove these folders manualy.

Also replacing the word remove by uninstall when selecting multiple mod in mods tab can be less confusing. Same in the next open window when clicking remove. Using same words for the same thing in all windows seem me less confusing, but it's not very important.
