kevkiev
I actually think this would be a bug fix. To me, MacCready's dislike of curing Austin is inconsistent with all the other times he likes it when you help kids/ parents/ families. He likes it when you help the kid in the fridge, and again when you refuse to sell the kid and instead protect the family. He loves it when you console Blake Abernathy's loss of his daughter. There's a few other examples as well. Considering he's otherwise kind of a jerk, I think those are the sorts of things that add some nice depth to his character. Especially if you encounter those events before you even find out about his son. But, for me anyways, getting a "MacCready disliked that" when giving the serum to Austin completely trashes his character. And I think saving the kid's life actually warrants a "loved" over a "liked". But "disliked"? That's rubbish. I poked around in xEdit, and researched the webz a bit, and it looks like this would take some scripting know-how. So that pretty much scares me off of a DIY fix. Maelstrom916
It's possibly related to his own quest, where he's searching for a cure for his son's disease. Suddenly a magic cure-all appears out of left field where he least expected it, and before he can really give input it gets given away to someone else. I'm sure if I were in his shoes I'd feel a little miffed about it too, though it did go to a good cause so even though he can't use it on his son, it's only 'disliked' instead of 'hated.' I dunno, that's just my interpretation. I've never actually encountered this one myself so I don't know if he continues to dislike it even after completing his quest, so there may still be some oversight, but yeah. BlazeStryker
Thin line between love and hate, or Ghandi Glitch? Either way, if you run AFT, it's an easy fix. There's nothing that says you can't sleaze your way into making his hates flip back to positive for that quest then simply turn it back off.
