Problem with console command

I checked the FalloutPrefs in C:\Users\user\Documents\My Games\Fallout3 & it seems to have no problem. The bAllowConsole is set to 1 but i can't seem to get the console window to open in the game. I tried looking around the internet but i can't seem to find the solution to my problem. Is it because I'm running on windows vista 32 bit home premium? Or is it because i'm running on a laptop?(Mine is an Acer Aspire 5920G with nVidia Geforce 8600m GT 512mb) Seriously need help!

I thought at 1st mine wasnt working but it turned out that my screen resolution was set where I couldnt see it open. But then I am retarded! :) I have Vista so that shouldnt be the issue.

It wasn't just you, it took one of the best nerds I know half a day to figure that out. Yeah we could have told him it was on google, but it was fun watching him sweat.

lucky me I typed in a wrong code and got a bunch of system error messsage ont he screen or I wouldnt have gotten it so soon.....ha ha I beat a nerd! :)

You have to change the resolution to be smaller I believe to see the whole thing

 

When you hit the button and the game pauses...its open, even if you can't see it. If you have 1337 hax skillz then you can type whatever without looking.

any one know how to make the cam move around yourself to get screen shoots like in obliv,iwas able to move my cam around my fighter but im lost on how to do it for fallout,is the a CC that i must type or something,,

I cant either open my console, i have heard that there is few problems thet do that.

First of Vista, it seems that everything runs smooth on xp.

Second the Keyboard, i dont know but wath i have heard the european keyboard dosent work like the us, like to the left of my # 1 key is § and ½.

So if someone knows for sure let me know, if it is the keyboard i am gonna buy a new one.

Also it seems that i cant take screenshots and yes i have it enabled in ini.

Hmm, so maybe its the keyboard problem? Wonder if i use an external keyboard, will the "~" or the console window open? I'll try that & see how it goes.

I have an external keyboard and the tilde key still doesn't make the console come up, the game doesn't pause or anything and I tried changing resolutions, changing keyboards, various key combos, I just can't get the console to work. Help!
