Merum
There are lots of little details in the game, if you're lucky enough to pick up on them. My favorite so far has been Hannibal Hamlin being the guy who wanted to free the slaves and rebuild the Lincoln Memorial. Nice touch.

Baelkin
I distinctly remember a notice on a terminal telling employees not to hit, kick or smear fecal matter in the coin slot of either a Nuka automat or Foodmaster 3000 when it didn't work or dispense the correct item. There's a ton of awesome humourours notes on the various terminals if people bother looking for them in addition to the campy character and item designs. The "properties" of Nuka Cola Quantum are quite amusing to read for instance - on one of the terminals in the Nuka Plant there's a research log concerning the Quantum, several of which states "casualties" during the development of the product - a clear jab at the soft drink industry and food industry in general. Then there's the leader of the Slavers who's black, clad in a complete pimp outfit and mackin' hoes, a humorous social commentary on prostitution and the popular media's glorification of the "pimp" lifestyle. Coupled with the Lincon Memrorial questline, it makes it even ironic that the leader of the Slavers is a black guy, hell-bent on preventing the post-apocalyptic emancipation movement. You just have to look a bit at the some of the "minor" characters to find humour in the game, like the lady in Arefu who completely has lost her mind and asks if you are there to deliver her magazine when you knock on her door and who later bakes you a "tin can" muffin if you help them out. Then there's Dave, Gary, the Tunnel Snakes and the "Super Mutant Dialogues". Even some of the items can bring a smile to your face like the Medic armour and the knife called "Stabhappy" or the "Board of Education". People who don't think there's humour in the game just haven't looked good enough or they expect Adam Sandler type humour. :P
cyclone1969
Yup can agree there is a ton of humor in the game lots of it is subtle which I like way to much humor nowadays that you don't need to turn the brain on to get. The game on the terminal is in Hubris Comics in the lower section of the beta test room
CFriis87
Also, pretty much anything mister gutsy and liberty prime says is pure gold. Enclave radio can be pretty damn funny too.Oh and don't get so surprised that people don't know about the Chevy Chase thing, not everybody playing this game is American, or have have any reason to know at all. TheRealQuasar1337
It's true that, not being American, there are a lot of things I won't get. The same thing happens in most episodes of Family Guy, in fact, most media created by Americans, so it's fairly easy to just ignore it and move on. I thought the Chevy Chase thing might be a joke, but it seemed a little too random. Is every location in the game really part of the DC area then? Fallout 3 does have some very funny moments. I like the letters from vault-tec that you'll occasionally find in a letterbox - "Sorry, your family has not been chosen..." Another thing that made me laugh was one of the police logs in the Germantown HQ. Can't remember it now, but one of them's just genius. I did miss the Fallout 2 style humour somewhat, being a huge Python fan (I'm British. It's basically a prerequisite for nationality here). I mostly miss the many ways you could live your life within that game - A favourite memory of mine was getting revenge on a casino owner that stole my car by sleeping with his wife and daughter in the same night, then murdering him and his guards. You don't get experiences like that in F3...
