Savader
Hey, all. I seem to be having a really tough time getting specific race mods and additional NPC mods to work. Let me explain in detail: I have tried several times to get the races Temptress and Lunari to work, but always come up empty handed. I've installed them through the NMM and even tried doing so manually, and did everything to the book, but STILL end up not being able to use the races. They don't even appear in the Race Selection screen during Character Creation. I really have no idea what could be causing this to happen to me, and only me, apparently, because I cannot find any information on this specific problem ANYWHERE. I've left a few comments about this in the comment sections on the pages of where you can download the mods, but thought I'd have better luck here. My other issue is quite similar to the first: I can't seem to activate any user-created NPCs. For instance, the Succubus Twins mod, where you're supposed to find the Succubus merchant that's found in the Sleeping Giant Inn at Riverwood, which allows you to summon the Succubus Twins, is nowhere to be found after activating the mod, much less at the designated location the modder mentions. Same goes for the Unique Female Followers mod, where certain characters are supposed to be in specific locations, but are nowhere to be found. The modder says that one of the followers is supposed to be located in, say, Dragonsreach, and another will seek you out herself, but after activating the mod, I can't find any of them anywhere. And just to clarify, I am PRETTY sure that I already installed all of the necessary extra mods that are needed for the mods to work. Temptress: ApachiiSkyHair, Lunari: UNP or CBBE. I don't know what I could possibly be doing wrong, and it's getting very tiresome, so if someone -- ANYONE could help me figure this out, I sure would appreciate it. Very much so. I would love to play as the Lunari and have the Succubus Twins, Unique Female Followers and Temptress NPCs as companions. So, again, please... Help me. Thank you. IsharaMeradin
I don't recall setting this value to 1 but that's what it needs to be on in order to have mods work. in your SkyrimPrefs.ini filesetbEnableFileSelection=to 1you can find it in the [Launcher] category if that doesn't allow your mods to work, then I've no clue. Savader
I don't see 'bEnableFileSelector' anywhere. Can I just add it in myself? Edit: I mean, 'bEnableFileSelection'.Derp. Edited October 13, 2012 by Savader
Savader
Okay, I placed 'bEnableFileSelection=1' under [Launcher], and still nothing happened. I'm gonna try a few troubleshooting ideas; re-installing the mods, re-installing Skyrim, restarting my computer, etc. Thank you again for your help. Whether this fixes it or not, I still appreciate you taking the time to at least try to help someone in need. Edit: Yay, it worked! Thank you so much, Ishara! You've really saved my ass! FINALLY done with all the running around... Thanks again. :) Edited October 13, 2012 by Savader
IsharaMeradin
I'd forgot to mention that that ini setting only allows you to actually select the plugins in the launcher so that they'd be used. you still have to activate the plugins. but it sounds like you got it figured out.
