Attempting to edit a ragdoll crashes the GECK

The title basically says it all. Whenever I open a ragdoll, the GECK closes -- with the exception of NVGeckoRagdoll. If I choose that one, the "RGDL" menu pops up, but crashes when I try to preview a gecko. This isn't a new occurrence or anything. The GECK has always done this with me. I'm just curious if there's a fix so I can tinker around with ragdoll weight and IK data.

 

(Just to be clear, I'm talking about ragdolls as in Body Part Data, not a dead NPC in the Render Window)

EDIT: I should probably open my eyes. Guess the Body Part Data menu is where you're supposed to set up headtracking and IK stuff. But I'd still like to tinker with the ragdoll menu, if it's even possible. Vanilla bodies are always too light or too heavy, and I was hoping to change that.

Editing Ragdoll Forms in NV Geck is impossible due to the code behind that feature missing (At least, that's what Roy said). It does work in FO3 Geck.
Same code works in game itself, though. The way I edit them is via FO3 Geck, save the esp, open the esp in FO3Edit and copy the setting to FNVEdit so I can use them in NV.

However, that's not where you edit how ragdolls behave. If you want to make some ragdoll heavier/lighter you need to find the skeleton.nif of the actor you want. Open it in Nifskope and edit various things, like bhkRigidBody. That's where the most settings like mass, friction, restitution, etc... are.
