CTD whenever trying to trade with a settler or vendor

Not sure what's going on here, but posting for insight and help.

Whenever I attempt to trade items with a settler, or talk to any vendor, the game will CTD just before their menu opens. I am on a brand new playthrough. I do use a lot of mods, however:

1. I've disabled all mods and the problem still occurs.

2. I've verified files using steam.

3. Out of frustration, I've uninstalled, then reinstalled the game.

This problem still occurs. I don't see much traffic about this issue on the web. I could use a hand figuring this one out.

Only remaining mods have been CC content. Everything else has either been disabled or deleted in my efforts to get to the bottom of this problem.

In a new attempt at resolving this issue, I've downloaded and set up Vortex. After following the instructions, I am still experiencing this problem. This problem occurs both with and without mods installed.

Any ideas? I'm out of them atm.

are you using any F4SE Plugins ?

as for the most part these will not show up in the load order. if you are using F4SE list all mods that use it.

i am going to assume you did not include all the mods you were using (as 8 Mods Is Not a Lot, At All, especially when the actual limit is 254 ESP Files. and 4096 ESL Files that only make 1 record edit. although its very unlikely you will get that many ESL files working.), this issue could very well be caused by a script, so unless you deleted all mods and started again from scratch (As in a brand new game) the script will still be active, regardless of whether you deleted the mod or not, as scripts bake into the saved games. and whatever the now orphaned script was meant to do, will just crash the game when triggered (not always but very likely), whilst simultaneously increasing the saved game sizes, leading onto Save bloat, which will cause severe issues later on down the line.

reinstalling the game does not necessarily mean you started a new game. as the saved games do not get deleted when you uninstall fallout 4.

this is a very strange issue, and unlikely to be a base game issues, as such it is very likely to be caused by a mod/ f4se Plugin.

as for the listed CC mods, i do not use CC At all, and ignore its very existence, as such, i could not tell you if any of them mods would be the cause.

with that said, if it is any of them mods, it would be either: Gauss Rifle Prototype, Modular Backpack, or Anti Material Rifle, since by the looks of it, these 3 are the only mods that could have any connection to trading, and that is primarily being visible in a trading dialogue. maybe the power armour mod, but highly unlikely.

as for trading crashes it self, could be cause by many scenerios:

1. Orphaned or Tampered Script (could be applicable if the script is for Leveled list injection for Vendors)

2. Corrupted Mesh Files (so it would crash if anything in the NPC trade menu, had a corrupted mesh file)

3. Vendor Mod Conflicts
