Matrimelee
Hello there,am trying to find out why a certain weapon won't play a sound when checking its ammo capacity. I opened up the weapon animation in NifSkope and found the certain spot, where the sound which should be played, is specified. But the question is, WHERE exactly is the animation file looking for the sound? Should it be in the .nif file, or somewhere in the FalloutNV/data/sound folder? dubiousintent
If the sound file is provided by the vanilla game (to include the DLCs), then it is in the "Fallout - Sounds.BSA" file. If it was added by a mod, then it will be under the "Data\Sound\(probably under 'fx')" folder tree. The filename in your screenshot (WPNC96SlideBack) is (I'm guessing) probably added by the mod the weapon comes from. It is entirely possible the mod author had a mod with replacement sounds installed, used the file (which if provided would be a "loose file" somewhere under the "Data" folder tree but the exact path would depend upon the mod in question; not everyone place files correctly), but for legal reasons couldn't include it with the animation mod. In which case you need to recheck the animation mod for "requirements" and "comments". Please the 'Animation' section of the wiki "Getting started creating mods using GECK" article for links and "Tips". -Dubious-
