How to fix weapon reload

im trying to build a custom hunting rifle and having trouble with the bolt when the gun is fired or reloaded. the bolt moves up and sticks out of the gun when its fired.

 

what can i do to fix this?

I'm not a modeller, so take this with a pinch of salt. But as I understand it, the "reload" is an animation file (*.kf).. There is only one used for each "category" of weapon and "action": 1handed pistol/rifle/autofire, 2handed, etc. "attack", "sneak", "reload", etc.. As such your mesh has to conform to what the animation for your 2h rifle is expecting for bolt travel distance and cycle timing.

 

Please see the "Animation" section of the wiki "Getting started creating mods using GECK" article. There are tutorials linked there and some "Tips" from experienced mod creators. You may need to change the animation you are using instead of the mesh.
