minfernal
I just began a "playthrough" (which feels strange to say about a sandbox game) and discovered something annoying. Has anyone else noticed that the size of Altmer cause visual issues with hands being off handles, etc?So far I've noticed the hand gripping next to (rather than onto) the chain to the bellows when smithing, and gripping over the mane of the horse (rather than onto the pommel) when riding. Is this just something that's been overlooked in development? Could it possibly be fixed with a reasonable amount of labour? It doesn't cause any problems, so it's purely a question of aesthetics. Not really something worth whining about, but I figured it can't hurt to ask. Since the looks and animations of the game are so enjoyable, it quickly became annoying. EDIT: I can elaborate on the forge issue by also saying that the heated metal piece hovers over the anvil when the PC strikes it, and clips with the trough when quenched. nakakita
There's the same issues if your character is shorter than average, you'll pound things through anvils instead of on top of, your arms will clip through the tables, ect. There is only one cure, and that is to use setscale to make your character the 'average' size. I think it's 1, but considering that nords are the majority of the population, and they're generally a tad taller than that, it may be very slightly higher.
