About Mod Load Order

yes it matters greatly. conflicts are not the only issue with an incorrect load order.

Mod Priority is just as important as mod conflicts.

you could have a complete conflict-less load order, and still run into load order based issues. such as mods being nullified, leveled lists injections not working, etc etc

basically mod priority is extremely important.

for example, if you had 254 mods, and you placed all of your mods that add stuff to the chemistry lab at the very top of your load order, this could prevent said mods from even having their content appear in game.

the more mods you have, the more priority will matter.

many issues can arise from giving mods incorrect priority. most noticeable will be mods simply not working as intended or in extreme circumstances, not working at all. the most effected will be Alternate Start mods, Leveled lists and Mods that add crafting Recipes.

Mod Conflicts and Mod Priority are 2 different things but both heavily affect each other and for the most part are connected.

I solved conflits in my mod list and created rules about what which mod should be overwrited or not. That still could cause problems if mods aren't organized with categories like, settlements, overhauls, textures?

My question is more about if it matters to the engine if mods are loaded by categories. Like if I have totally unrelated mods that not conflit/overwrite each other, There's diference load NPCs mods before textures mods and vice versa?
