louisthecuteone
So I'm fixing with my mods and then windows gives me a happy pop up saying "hey idiot im full, you f*#@ed up" and I'm like ... why is vortex putting 20 gb of stuff on my C drive?I know that vortex has to have the information contained in appdata, but is 20 gb normal? I have about 100-150 plugins, about 1/4 is esl files if that matters. I checked what size BS: Bruma is as an example and if I'm going to go on that, 20 gb for the mods I have installed seems like the right number. I've read about others talking about this, but in all those posts/topics it seems like everyone says that "No vortex doesn't put the full file from the mods you download under /appdata", but those 20 gb in my case says otherwise ...Vortex appdata is under roaming (19,2 gb exact) and that folder has 0,6 gb with other stuff. The only thing that i have thats around 20 gb under appdata is appdata/local/packages which seems to mostly contain Microsoft data. I seriously dont understand how vortex takes up nearly 20 gb ...If anyone knows if this is a mistake or have any clues on what to do, please share. If there aren't any answers I'll just have to try to scrape my C drive for something deletable but I dont think i have more than 5 gb woth of stuff to delete, if that. AugustaCalidia
If you use the default Vortex settings, Vortex will place all of your Downloads folders and your Mod Staging Folders in AppData\Roaming\Vortex. If you don't want to use those settings for whatever reason, then use "Settings" on the Vortex dashboard to customize the location of those folders using the "Mods" tab and the "Download" tab.
