nenina
Thanks for checking out this topic! I plan to install FCOM 0.99 for Oblivion and want stability above all else. My question: Wrye Bash + BOSS or TES4Edit Master Update Mode? I've been using Wrye Bash + BOSS, but my current Oblivion + mods is now a bit randomly unstable in exterior cells. And this is after my effort with reading topics, reading comments sections from mods, various fixes, etc. Would you say that going with TES4Edit Master Update Mode is much better than a bashed patch? I would have to watch out for mods that specifically say "do not MUM-ify this mod."
Hickory
What the hell is "TES4Edit Master Update Mode"?
Nephenee13
Do not do whatever that TES4Edit thing you are talking about. And it is almost certainly not the Bashed Patch causing your problems, you need to actually debug what is wrong.

It is only good for suggestions of the load order, nothing else! take no notice of it! Also TES4 edit will tell you to clean dirty edits of every mod, crap! the dirty edits are meant because they change edits in the main game as they were meant to be changed! I have never heard such nonsense. BOSS is a long running, dedicated, carefully researched load order utility. To say 'take no notice of it' is sheer foolishness. And since when does TES4Edit 'tell' you to clean dirty edits? TES4Edit is a tool that the user uses (with knowledge), and it has no pre-emptive 'this plugin needs cleaning' facility. And lastly... dirty edits are ONLY meant in very specific circumstances -- the vast majority of dirty edits absolutely need to be cleaned. To the OP: to take notice of the previous 'advice' would be extremely foolish.
