Nernie
I have a CS question. Is there a way to create a masked, or blocked-off area outdoors, in which (or under which) weather effects don't show up? I'm constructing indoor-type environments in outside cells, and when it rains and snows and so-forth, the weather disregards my roofs and overhangs and walls. Ta veddy much. Khet
I don't know why you would want to use exterior cells when building interiors... but no, there's no way to turn off weather in an exterior cell.
Nernie
Rickety shacks, and things like that. Anyway, thank you, that is useful to know.
exanimis
I built a cave with a forest inside of it and I tried the same thing but unfortunately there isn't any way to mask the weather. Someday maybe someone who knows more than I will figure it out because there are now two of us who want it. There is a way to make sure that the weather is always clear (no rain) you could try that. Well, the forest in the cave I can actually answer. It doesn't need to be an exterior cell in order to place trees and such in it. You could in-fact built a small cave, throw in some white lights (so it looks like the sun shines down into it) and then fill it with plants, minature trees, and everything else that would be literally impossible to happen. And, truth be told, Bethesda did something just like that themselves in the Knights of the Nine expansion.
exanimis
I wanted to be able to add to the terrain trees, plants, hills and boulders. I didn't want to have to add each tree individually. I didn't want a sky I just wanted the terrain inside of a cave. One of the moderators suggested trying to build the inside of the cave on an exterior cell but as was said earlier I got rain inside the cave. and the sunlight was a problem. If you look inside the aylied main interior (The one that is a one piece deal) you can see a dome that makes it look like you are looking at the sky from the inside. I think a dome like the aylied one is needed in certain circumstances. I need the sky to always appear as if it were noon in order to stick with the idea of pellucidar but I have been informed that that isn't possible. Khet
It wouldn't be possible to 'stop' time in an area. To be honest with you the only way you could do this is in an interior cell and place all the flora manually (you won't be able to affect the cave floor sadly) but there's really no other way. exanimis
In the CS under static you can find the sky dome, I just found it myself. It's the dome used inside the Aylied ruin (Mankar Camerons paradice) It could give you a clear sky effect in an interior cell so check it out.
