Hey Nexus,

Whenever I play Skyrim, I get this really weird mouse lag issue in the menus; not only inventory, but quests, settings, and even the title screen. What happened was that I was moving my mouse around and noticed the sensitivity was weird. So I tested it by just waving my mouse from left to right in the most constant back and forth motion I could. The cursor would be normal for a while, then would start acting weird, slow down and then all of a sudden jerk to the far edges of the screen as if my mouse sensitivity had gone from 5 to 3 to 10 all within 10 seconds. So, I tried all the basic lag fixes that are out there (disable vsync, triple buffering, disable mouse accel) but nothing is working... Please help this is starting to get REALLY annoying.

My computer is an HP dv7-6197ca, if you want to see the specs. I just reinstalled Skyrim today (fresh install) and it was happening even before I downloaded any mods.

Thanks

Ok, Now this is really weird

I tried recording the issue on Fraps, and while recording, my sensitivity was totally fine...

Then I would stop recording and the issue would instantly reappear...

what the hell is going on XD

I have noticed this same issue. It does not always happen but it happens enough that it is starting to get really annoying. There are times that I have to use the keyboard to scroll through things because the mouse is just too laggy to interact properly. There is no real consistency of when it happens either. i.e. happening more in towns than out in the field, etc. Moving around or targeting objects does not seem to have any issues. It is just when I go into menu or dialogue screens. I am not using any menu mods either, btw. Maybe I should start.... heh :rolleyes: Edited by Eglyntine

If you look at your Skyrimprefs.ini (documents\mygames\skyrim) you see the controls section that looks something like this:

[Controls]

bUseKinect =0

fMouseHeadingSensitivity =0.0220

fGamepadHeadingSensitivity =1.0000

bAlwaysRunByDefault =1

bInvertYValues =0

bGamePadRumble =0

bMouseAcceleration = 0

fMouseHeadingYScale = 0.3

fMouseHeadingXScale = 0.3

The last 3 BOLD lines are important try to set them (or add them) into this section and try it. Of course do a backup before you do anything. Solved my crazy mouse problem this way.

Edit: try disable/enable vertical sync in vga driver settings or via ini.

Hope I helped:)
