vash1985
ok so i see that proper work is being done to the nif tools for the ability to work with models in FO3, but to what extent are we currently able to add new weapons. iirc with oblivion in order to "create" a new weapon and add it to the world you would have to do it up in the CS give it a model and then create a .esm file to be added to the game (or is that wrong?) i guess my question is if we dont get a CS, will we be stuck with replacing the current weapons in the game or could we still add custom ones to the list? im hoping for the latter because i feel the current weapon selection is a little limited and could do well for a few additions that me and a few other content artists are thinking about adding. mikekearn
I'm pretty sure the guy who added his Oblivion rapier into the game added it as a whole new weapon, with stats just cloned from the Chinese officer's sword, as adjustments are hard to make without a CS. So I think adding entirely new weapons is possible without the CS, just not easy.
jaysus
in that tutorial how to hex edit niftools or somin on creating a new weapon he mentioned how to create a new item (in regards to wepons it would still prolly use the default animations as the max or blender export is not yet ready) and place it in a box... some hex editing again lol
