crash on save,

This has been plaguing me for a few days. My game will be apparently working well. I save the game, shut down the computer. The next day I boot up and try to play. It starts well enough, but when I try to save (the full save from menu, I don't use auto or quicksaves) It crashes. The crash creates a numbered save that is a tmp file, which I have read means that windows failed to convert it to an .ess file.

 

In order to fix the problem, I have to go back to a very old save (and not necessarily the same one that worked the day before) and start the game from there. the player.kill strategy does not work for me. Nor does going to the older save and then going to a more recent save. I do have legal skyrim, I am running as an administrator...I think i have close to 2000 hrs in game without this problem showing up. I play in offline mode, but I did try in steam online mod, no change. Also file defrag and verifying cache integrity did nothing. I did basic computer maintenance too, no effect. I did not add or remove any mods prior to this showing up, but I am not certain that a mod is not involved...if maybe I am picking up some armour or potion or who knows what that is causing the corrupted save?

 

Honestly I am at a loss. I can play all day on the game without problems, once I get a game with a working save. Then the next day it starts all over again. I never have problems loading any of the savegame files, they just wont allow me to save them. I have spent a few days trying to fix this on my own, and I haven't seen a problem exactly like mine.
