Gwelwen
I had the same probleme to raise my unarmored skill. In the beginning its really useless. once your skill is about 50, it will be a lot easier. What I did was looking for some good unarmored trainers and train till about 50-55. Then I could fight some serious creatures.
ShinJiOh
Simple... if you don't have it naturally, just wear armour except the gloves, boots and pauldrons the enemies dont usually hit there as hard
Eiade
just wear armour except the gloves, boots and pauldrons the enemies dont usually hit there as hardShinjioh, the point of unarmored is to not wear armor. that isn't really a good solution. look if you really want an armor rating of more than 65, just enchant some wearable item with fortify unarmored or fortify speed or something. it kinda takes patience with unarmored. Faust870
i am a lover of unarmored (although i agree it does kinda suck in this game). with a maxed out unarmored skill and maxed out speed (governing attribute), the highest armor rating you can get is 65. HOWEVER... there is an excellent mod to solve this problem. its called "the dodging mod" by a guy named Horatio. as someone who excels in unarmored, you are nimble and fast. although you are not sufficiently protected, you should be able to avoid and dodge blows very well. this mod adds a sanctuary spell with a magnitude that depends on you unarmored skill. the spell only happens if your unarmored skill is at least twice as high as any of your other armor skills (heavy, medium, light), so that you cant walk around in daedric reaping the insane sancuary bonus. i believe it is a balanced mod. it's on TheLys's morrowind page. here's an html: Dodging Mod Thanks for the help... but sadly... I play on XBox, and its rather difficult to use mods on it :P
Eiade
Thanks for the help... but sadly... I play on XBox, and its rather difficult to use mods on it....oh. sorry about that. well... unarmored really isnt that bad. even though in the beginning you have a laughable AR rating, in the mid-levels (lvl 15-25), the save is decent enough so that you really wont be hurt as badly as you think. upon coming across highly valuble items (which happens very frequently by the time you are a mid-level character), you can sell them and literally make more money than you know what to do with. go ahead and train! plus, having an AR of 180+ w/ daedric or nordic mail really isnt challenging at all; you dont ever get hurt enough to ever be worried! SilvuruAgnost
I like to have light armor but not wearing a helm or boots but wearing a robe so it you cant see the armor
MDH Weaponeer
I think unarmored takes more damage off of magical attacks. I took a hit from vivec that only gave me 53 damage instead of the 200 it was supposed to.
cactoblasta
It doesn't actually reduce magic damage. Vivec's spells are probably variable-based, or you have resistances which reduce their force. As for unarmoured, if you're having issues just enchant a full set of clothes (belt, shirt, pants, shoes, robe, rings, amulets etc) with constant effect sanctuary for every piece. You should have enough points (if you use exquisite) to get 100 sanctuary, thus making it impossible for someone to hit you with a weapon. Sure, it's almost cheating and very expensive, but it's the best kind of armour rating you can get. Then you only need to worry about spells... Evien
Yah you can be good but it's better just to wear armour. Being knocked down is dew to low agility.
