donquixote01
Can I upload my precombine fixes for various mods that don't have them, or is that a no-no? I don't want to step on anyone's toes.
StormWolf01
Heyas! Ok, this is a good thing to ask.A lot of it all depends on what the author has their permissions set for, on their mods. Some authors will let you do anything that you want with their mods. Other's won't let you do anything with their mods. Others will give permission, if you request it, but you have to request it. Ya just need to read the Permissions link posted in the mod description. It's also polite, to contact the mod author, so that if you post their work, they can either include links to your mod, on your mod page, if they so choose to do so.Essentially, it's always a good policy to contact the author prior to releasing something that contains their work.Now- here's a catch. Abandoned mods. These are mods that the authors are either no longer around, or are no longer supporting their mod. If the permissions have specifics that you can or can't do, you still have to hold to that. Even if they don't reply. Regardless of whether the author is still supporting it, you have to respect what the permissions say. ;) Good question, I wish a lot more starting modders would try to be courteous to their fellows in the modding community.
