Blank Data Table

Recommended Posts

I have the Creation Kit installed in the folder where Skyrim is, outside Program Files. No matter where I launch any Creation Kit file or the executable itself, nothing, not even Skyrim.esm itself, shows up in the Data table where plugins are loaded. My most recent attempt at fixing this has caused the Creation Kit to think that it needs a ConstructionKit network location. Oddly, Creation Kit runs successfully when opened through Mod Organizer 2, just without detected plugins, which puts me back to square one.

Have you tried launching creation kit.exe as an administrator? That sorts out a lot of strange things.

Failing that, is the file path set up correctly in CreationKitprefs.ini ?

It should be not far from the top and read similarly to mine.

ie sFile Path=E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\

Launching the .exe as an administrator hasn't worked so far. I did check my file path in CreationKitprefs.ini and it seems to be set up correctly, pointing to the game and files' current data location.

Just for you a helping hand.

If it helps, I'm using a previous version of Creation Kit for use with CK64Fixes. I've already reinstalled the necessary files and moved it to my own Data directory. CreationKit.exe still brings up the Construction Kit version control dialogue, but opening files like Skyrim.esm runs the .exe as normal, with the base .esms detected, with no CK64Fixes.

64bit is only meant for the engine and KIt type.

the master is 32bit. Most of the assets except for specifics are all 32bit.

Bethesda launcher will install the correct software for that game SSE. if the game is running, beths site will detect and redirect you to the correct downloads or installer.

IF you intend to use a scriptextender for this game and the kit, only one works correctly, https://store.steampowered.com/app/365720/Skyrim_Script_Extender_SKSE/

But that's down a different road. The executable and config files are generated from the website for the current game it scans loaded.

I know there's a lot of confusion about what does what, but there is so much differences between the games that assets cannot be shared.

So it's important you pay close attention to the details you read online.

Forget fixes, use the default code first and see what happens, it might behoove you to do that. Please understand, the company does not care about anybodies fixes.

What's shipped with the game counts. nothing else matters.
