Starter Soldier Stats

hey guys been wondering after seeing the compiled scripts on the pinned sectioned,is there anyways to change the starting soldier stats or the initial recruits on the base??

 

i would love to do 2nd run on Impossible IM,but this time i would love at least i have 1 soldier that has a max ranks (be it sniper,assault,heavy or support)..i wanted to feel like in the war movie where the squad were placed on the grim situation with a limited resources and all of that handicapped the squads against aliens,there's ONE protagonist that stood out amongst other and leads them to victory over time LOL

 

so long story short,is there any scripts on the .exe that can be altered to suit my needs?

OOOHHH and BTW!!!is there anyway,again,in the scripts that allows us to change the zoom level on the battlefield?i would really love to see my guys from time to time up close :D

Yeah, that's easy, just look in defaultgamecore.ini

 

These should affects the ones your start with, as well as new hires:

 

ROOKIE_AIM=65

ROOKIE_MOBILITY=12

ROOKIE_STARTING_WILL=40

 

If you want to adjust just the ones you start with, then look under the difficulty settings in the same file.

I have already created a thread for this.

 

Starting Characters

 

Consolidate threads for better potential, plox.

 

Anyways, you could just edit the the XP gained so that after the starting mission you have 1-4 Colonels, Majors, Captains, etc... Just make sure you then edit them back to whatever you want so you're not left with 12 Colonels in the first month. Unless that's your thing...

hmm the only thin i can find in the difficulty section is the modifier balanced mods..aren't this for the increase stats instead of the base?or am i looking in the wrong section?
