Pipe pistol/rifle replacement

I am not really a fan of the pipe weapons, and would like to see them be cleaned up a bit, or replaced entirely with lore friendly alternative. I have seen a number of replacers, and none of them seem quite right. Pipe guns were created post war, i feel modern looking guns wouldn't fit in. The service rifle was based off of the early ar-15 platform from the mid 1900's. Ar's have been modified a lot since then to use other calibers. So maybe an ar-pistol/rifle with smoothed wood instead of polymer might do the trick. I would consider the ak/saiga line except the ak was added in nuka world.

Deadpools 9mm & Greaser smg would fit perfect for your game! They lore friendly based on other fallout games and will spawn on the level list! If your not into that, cyanide4suicide made replacer overhauls for those weapon and you'll never see a pipe weapon agian! Or you can use "pipe b gone" that switches all the pipes into deliverers.

with the 50s style that fallout has, a 38 caliber revolver would fit for pistols or a prototype M-16 for a rifle

 

I always found it slightly annoying when you enter a room that's been sealed for over 200 years and search a container to find a pipe pistol
