CookieSalesman
I have a bunch of issues.First of all, I just can't find a mod that's responsible for a set of hairstyles, and those hairstyles have wrongly installed meshes which makes the hair become transparent in front of a bright light.Secondly, is there any way to figure out if you have wrongly uninstalled a mod? for example, some mods require a stopquest xxxxxx command before uninstallation. I'm quite sure i missed at least oneThird, if I manually install mods, are they listed in the ModMang? If not.. I think they're probably going to be lost in my folder forever, never to disappear. And thanks if you have read up to here, I know I have a lot of issues. Fourth, after I installed and uninstalled a few things, (including FNIS, pinup poser, and forgetting to use the FNIS generator immediately after, and other risky stuff) for some reasons the standalone proprietary mannequins in the mod Amethyst Hollows now cannot be changed in position. Meaning that now they just stand default upright just like the original skyrim mannequins, and the menu that changes the mannequin's pose does not work either. Thanks. Any sort of small help would be appreciated.
blitzen
A lot of questions for one post. If you install a mod manually, the mod managers have no idea how to uninstall it. They will only be aware of the plugins. For uninstalling mods with special instructions, you will have to read the description provided by the mod author to see if there is any mention of using stopquest or other command to stop any scripts that were added by the mod. If you find such instructions for a mod you have already removed, you may be able to re-install the mod, then execute the command, then uninstall it again. I don't know about mannequins, but if you have mods dependent on FNIS, then the generator does need to be run everytime you install, update, or uninstall an animation mod. I would check the AH mod page to see if the author mentions anything related to FNIS and animations. If not, you might try posting a question in that mod's comment topic. The hair mod may be installed correctly. Some of them have some odd behaviour due to choices made to soften the edges, etc., which can cause odd appearance under certain lighting conditions, including turning black, becoming transparent. It has something to do with the alpha settings. If you post pictures of some of the hair, I'm sure people would recognize which mod it is. Georgiegril
Adding to Blitzen's post, for your future reference. Manually installed mods, unzipped and added to your data folder, are not managed by NMM. However, if you place the ZIP file (unextracted) into the NMM mods folder: C:/Games/NexusModManager/Skyrim/Mods, then it will appear on the mods page (unactivated) in NMM. You just click to activate, and it's like a regular mod downloaded by NMM.
