crashxdjp
I have tried a few mods out to balance the game to my playstyle but the problem is these mods often have extra adjustments I do not want. The issue I run into is either the mod makes the game too easy or too hard. If these only specific changes happen (below) then it will make the game more enjoyable for me. I thought about it and if someone could please make these select changes for me that would be awesome! -Arc Thrower can be equipped in Pistol Slot-Satellite build time reduced to 10 days instead of 20-Ability to intercept all UFOs (granted you have coverage in the country)-Lower Panic across the board (I like to take my time in games)
EbenezerGrymm
They're all real easy to make yourself. Really, really easy. Get modpatcher.exe and put it in the same folder as your XComGame.exe Copy your DefaultGameCore.ini file and put it in that same folder with modpatcher.exe and XComgame.exe Open DefaultGameCore.ini in notepad and make the edits you want, they're all obvious except the arc thrower one which can also be done there I think you just give it pistol properties. You'll see what I mean. Save the file as DefaultGameCore.mod dbl click modpatcher.exe Play. I would highly suggest not turning on the ability to intercept all UFOs though. It makes soooooo many more UFOs pop up that it seems like 90% of your missions now are at a crashed UFO site and there's only a couple of those maps. That you will repeat. Over. And over. And over. If you like map variety don't turn it on. And if you don't think you like map variety right now, after playing that many downed UFO maps you will be begging the game to give you something different real quick. Ichthyic
or, turn it on, and then change it so that ignored ufo's don't cause panic (there is a setting for that too). here is a list of all the settings: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/XCOM:EU_DefaultGameCore.ini_settings Edited October 22, 2012 by Sir_Toejam

What I would like is an mod (or app) that includes all these ini edits in a GUI with check boxes so everyone can customize their own personal balance mod. That'd be neat. DeMocha
True enough. A quick and easy config would be handy, though i've been managing via 'winmerge' since it allows me to compare the changes/differences between mods.
ode111
yes a totally easy to set anything mod would be really super, some tick-box table with all possible attributes and anyone could choose what to turn on or off.
