Nacrosis
Today I got onto my modded skyrim game and played for a short period of time, when I suddenly started encountering an odd set of problems. The first thing I noticed was saving a game took much longer, 30+ seconds as opposed to the normal two or so. Next, I noticed that every time I tried to transfer into a new cell, load times were similarly long. Additionally, the next time I tried to rest, there was another delay of thirty+ seconds before the resting timer started to count down. However, initial loads of the effected savefiles from the main menu take about as long as normal, the issue only presenting itself when I get into game. During these periods of loading, the game is listed as not responding by Task Manager. At first, I thought I might be suffering from save bloat. I checked my save files, which were all sitting at a comfortable 12MB, but I went ahead and ran a script & havok cleaner anyway, to no effect. Next, I decided to run through my mods with TES5Edit, which was useful in that I needed to do that anyway, but still did not fix the problem. I also went ahead and defragged my hard drive just in case. Getting a little annoyed at this point as the problem persisted, I tried deactivating some of my recently installed mods to see if that had any effect, which of course, it did not. At this point I tried to make a new character and test all of the things that were causing issues on the original, and everything worked just fine, which at least narrowed the problem down to being with this single characters save files. My current mod setup is sitting around 110 plugins and has been stable with minimal crashing for several weeks, leading me to not believe they are the direct cause of the problem. The last mod I added was Immersive Music 3.2 around three days ago, but after deactivation there was no change in load times. I have LOOT, and anytime I install a new mod make sure to run it. This is also a relatively new character, with less than 20 hours of gametime. I'd appreciate any advice or solutions you all could give me.
