LE Crossbow Side Arm

I fell inlove with my Crossbow the moment I fired it for the first time, but my character is already trained in melee combat, and swapping is slightly too clunky for the finesse I'd like in combat.

 

Of all my requests this is the only one where I question how possible it is, but here goes regardless.

 

The mod would, ideally, add a Power to the game, that when used (Z Key) instantly switches to a equipped crossbow, fires when Z is let go, and then switches back to the old weapons.

Basically is would turn the Z key into a 'fire crossbow' button, but would allow for quick and stylish ranged flourish in the heat of intense combat, without pausing or fiddling the hotkeys.

 

This would allow for people to use the Crossbow even if they don't want to train primarily in Ranged combat.

This dose not sound like a bad idea... I know it is possible to write a macro to do exactly what you are talking about with third party application like AutoHotkey. If I have time or get bored I may try to come up with something. Another thought, you may already be able to do this with in game scripting.
