zed140
Using Fallout4, By exemple, Vortex show you have 250 actives mods but a xml or a json is not really a mod, then this number showed by Vortex go in confusion with the real fallout4 limitation of 250 mods. We need the real number of esp mods installed instead of a simple list count of all installed things.Or don't call that mods. Thx.
zed140
I think a possible workaround is to search for the plugins.txt file to count the number of really installed plugins.
Tannin42
The confusion is because you're confusing plugins and mods..esp/.esm/.esl files are called Plugins. The game limitation is for ~254 Plugins. The page in Vortex showing the plugins is appropriately named "Plugins". A mod can be all kinds of things, e.g. Texture replacers. You can have any number of mods replacing textures, as long as they don't also contain Plugins there is no limit (except there is only so many textures to replace but still)
zed140
Haaa... Ok, thank, I understand now (I speaked about the number show in the dashboard page). Then if I want to know how many mods (plugins) are really loaded in the range of 254, I have to see the plugins page?I can get the count by using ctrl+a (select all) in plugins page and it show me the count in the status bar And finaly the number show in dashboard page has a low interest, It can be replaced by the plugins count to be more interesting. Tannin42
The plugin total is in the top right of the plugins page in recent versions, no need to select anything. And no, the total number of mods is a very interesting stat and useful across all games (instead of just gamebryo games). Just because it's not the number you were looking for doesn't make it "low interest".
