Cathedral Concept, Complementary mods?

Botchling

Recommended Posts

So I have completely bought into the Cathedral concept of mods because of their amazing ease of use and compatibility. I got them all including luminosity, landscapes, snow, weather, water and mountains etc.

They are very impressive and everything is running super smooth. If there are any other cathedralists out there??... You guys have any mods in that vein you'd recommend?

I'm looking at retextures for dungeons and buildings/cities mainly. Where I see that Immersive Citizens can be a problem though. For dungeons, maybe "Underground - a dungeon texture overhaul" works? If there are no conflicts with landscapes?

I am uncertain about what the different mods touch, and if I should rather stay away, being anovice at this at best. Would love to hear your suggestions. Thanks

You should be fine with whatever you choose, really.
I don't see anything on your mod list that deals specifically with the textures of caves/buildings; if there is any conflict, just place your new mods lower.

Mods that I would suggest looking at (they go well with Luminosity and Underground):

Ruins Clutter Improved
Relighting Skyrim
Webs SE
Embers HD

I've been using Luminosity 3.1 with Relighting Skyrim, simply because I prefer the changes that the latter mod makes that the newest version of Luminosity doesn't (yet).

I think RS simply handles the light-bulbs better, though I know I'm speaking partially from bias. The mod has been a staple in my load order for a couple of years now.

On the other hand, I prefer the way that Luminosity handles interior lighting and fog.

So I don't think they do exactly the same thing---it's just that the newest versions of both mods happen to add light sources to the game in the same locations, as one of their features. Luminosity recolors light sources in a way that I just prefer more, and RS handles light placement better.

Anyway, sorry for the long-winded answer. In the end, it's just a matter of preference, I suppose. Happy modding.
