Game Crashes when selecting Half-Ghoul race from FCO

i am using Fallout Character Overhaul and New Vegas Redesigned 3, and while all of the FCO races show up fine in the race menu, when i try to confirm my character as the Half-Ghoul race, the game crashes to the desktop, i'm not sure what could be causing the issue and would appreciate any help.

 

EDIT: nevermind, i found what i was doing wrong

 

EDIT 2: New Vegas Redesigned's install instructions say not to check any of the boxes in the installer for FCO, the game was crashing because it didn't have the files it needed
