AA and AF problems NVIDIA

Hi, I would be greatful if someone could help me out here.

I took a couple months out of playing Skyrim, and came back to it the other day, updated all my mods to the latest and skyrim itself and bought Dawnguard.

All was well, until about half an hour of playing I decided to change my ENB to one of the CoT ones, booted the game back up and found my Antialiasing and Anistropic Filtering decided to stop working. I have tried forcing it on in Nvidia CT and NvidiaInspector. Nothing seems to work!! I have tried removing my skyrimprefs.ini so it would generate a new one and changed settings in SKyrim launcher but my AA and AF just dont seem to want to work. Pretty sure it has nothing to do with the ENB because i have removed it, tried the original i was using and tried others but nothing works. I even tried rolling back Nvidia drivers, tried Skyrim with and without the Beta 1.8 and still nothing.

Any help would be appreciated, I have googled away but the only AA problems i have found were to do with ATI cards nearly a year ago.

Well, I don't use ENBs, but I do know that it is important to read their descriptions extremely carefully regarding installation use and removal. I believe your problems could be related to your previously installed ENB, unfortunately if that is so, only a clean reinstall of Skyrim with a new game (not an old save game) is probably the only thing that can help you. You could try the verify cache thing on steam, though, before moving on to more drastic measures. Sometimes that is all it takes to solve all kinds of problems.

For information about AA and AF settings, I recommend you read through the Geforce Tweak Guide for Skyrim...it has 20 pages of extremely useful info, with explanations and examples of how various settings affect game quality and performance.

If you have not already, I would make sure also to do a clean install of the latest (306 version) drivers. An explanation of how to do a clean install is here. Depending on when you last updated your drivers, and how, a clean install may solve some of your problems and prevent some serious ones. (The link is to the EVGA forum, but the info is applicable to Geforce drivers made by any manufacturer.)

Thanks, I tried the verify cache thing a few times and it didnt work, so I have deleted Skyrim off steam and left it downloading again while i went to uni. Now to put all my mods back on and be extra careful with the ENB :/ will report back in probably several hours lol :(

P.S yeah i followed the geforce tweak guide before, that's why i couldn't understand how nothing i did regarding the ini, control panel etc. had no effect what so ever.
