Meddling with the sky

Changing skystars.dds turns out to be easy and the results are entertaining, but is there a way to do the same at daytime? Looking at the wiki forums suggests the answer is simply "No", but is that it?

Yeah, the short answer is basically "no". The slightly longer answer is "eh, kinda".

 

Most weather types use the same night texture, which is why changing skystars.dds works as well as it does. Daytime weather uses different sky textures for each weather type, so there isn't just one texture that you can change and have it almost always be in effect. You can look in the GECK under each weather type and see what textures are most commonly used. Or, you can have fun and replace all of the textures with whatever weird textures you want.

I see, I thought there was a blue sky with weather added. Thanks for the reply, I'll have a look at it.
